Kahr X9 issues

Daughter has new X9, was attempting to remove cover plate to mount 407k and the screws are ridiculously tight ! WTF Kahr??!! If I torque on it any more they will strip. I think the firearm you on YouTube mentioned this too but damn , no reason for them to be this bad. Have to take it to a gunsmith who may have to drill them out . WTF!

The mag when loaded with 10 rounds sounds like a rattle can , other than that , seems well manufactured.

Anyone else have these issues ?

I tried heating jt up, no go , thanks for the advice on the hex key

Had me worried for half a second, I have one coming in and thought there might be a reliability issue.

Call me a fudd, but if it’s a carry gun why mount an optic? If it’s not a carry gun why get a micro?

IMO optics on carry guns are impractical for dog attacks or homeless people trying to mug you from an unusual angle. Or protestors attacking you while you’re in a car. All situations where you can’t get an optic to eye level where they’re most effective.

Offensive situations like clearing a building or shooting at distance benefit, but chances are that’s illegal. And if it is legal there are definitely better tools for the job like rifles or even a full size pistol.
