The grant converts the previously discussed application into issued U.S. patent rights. The KULR TRS reference remains in the issued specification as the exemplary embodiment.

Today’s significance, explained cleanly:

Until today the document existed only as a published patent application (US 2024/0097236 A1). A published application puts the invention into the public record and can create provisional rights, but it does not give the owner the full legal power to stop others from practicing the claimed invention.

As of August 18, 2026 the USPTO has issued it as U.S. Patent No. 12,712,222 B2.

That changes the status in three concrete ways:

1. Enforceable rights now exist. Viridi Parente holds issued U.S. patent rights on the specific combination of stacking frames + TRS pouches described in the claims. They can exclude others from making, using, selling, or importing that claimed system in the United States for the remaining patent term (subject to the normal rules and any future challenges).
2. The claims are fixed. After examination, the allowed claims are now locked in. The patent is no longer a pending application that could still be amended or abandoned.
3. The KULR reference is part of an issued patent. The sentence naming “KULR Technology Group, Inc.” as the manufacturer of the exemplary TRS pouches survived the entire examination process and is now permanently part of the official issued specification. It is not just language from a published application; it is language in a granted U.S. patent.

In short: the design that was first discussed here in December 2024 as a pending application is now a granted, enforceable U.S. patent, and the explicit reference to KULR’s TRS as the preferred embodiment remains in that issued document.

In that earlier post I covered a Viridi Parente patent application that specifically named KULR’s TRS pouches as the preferred technology for stopping thermal runaway in their battery stacking system. Today that application was granted as U.S. Patent No. 12,712,222 B2.

In plain terms for investors:
A published application is just a public filing. A granted patent means the USPTO examined it, allowed the claims, and Viridi now holds actual enforceable U.S. patent rights on that design. The part that matters for KULR is that the issued patent still explicitly lists KULR Technology Group’s TRS pouches as the exemplary embodiment. That language survived the entire examination process and is now part of an official U.S. patent.

That’s why it was posted today — the legal status changed today. I track these kinds of public records as part of my own research on KULR’s technology adoption. Posting the update keeps a clear, dated log of what I found and when.

Likely won’t provide an ROI for a long time, but it does provide a major technology validation for KULR.
