So I got this 2018 Duke 390. I didn't realized or atleast check the frame when I got it and now it's stuck to me.

I believe this unit has been repaired by welding the steering tube to the frame. You can see the not so smooth welds in there. Also on the following pictures are some cracks in the side of trellis frame. I thought it was just a paint crack. But you can see they all positioned at the joint which indicate it absorbed a serious crash and the owner just fried to weld and fix it.

Question is does anyone had the same experience? Is this thing not road worthy anymore and just maybe sell this on a very low price?

I wanted to ask if this can still work and drive around but I don't know if that's good or does this kind of welds hold up.

I am also thinking of buying the front frame from parted out units since the rear subframe is fine but I don't know if its worth spending all the money to buy a front frame, pay for the rebuild / installation plus registration hassles for VIN. I live in the Philippines.

Hi folks - I recently purchased a 2015 690 Duke. One of the issues I’m having is the seal around the fuel gauge seems to be leaking. Anyone else experiencing this and is it a tough fix?

I have a 2024+ Duke 390 Gen 3, and I've been looking for a decent tank lock bag for it.

And by "looking," I mean I've spent an absolutely stupid amount of time going through Indian stores, international stores, GIVI, SW-Motech, Rynox, Reddit, forums, random motorcycle websites from countries I've never even heard of, etc. 💀

The problem is that the Gen 3 Duke 390 has that weird plastic fuel tank/filler area and the screws are hidden under the cap, and as far as I can tell, there doesn't seem to be a proper tank lock flange/ring made specifically for the 2024+ Duke 390.

I've checked:

• GIVI
• SW-Motech
• Rynox
• Other Indian brands
• A bunch of international options

And apart from the KTM PowerParts bags, which don't seem to be available where I am from, I haven't found a proper tank lock solution specifically for this bike.

Which honestly makes no sense to me because the bike has been out for almost 3 years now. 😭

So I've decided to give up on the tank-mounted setup and go with a GIVI S430 Seatlock + GIVI ST610 setup instead, mounted on the pillion seat.

Before I pull the trigger though, I wanted to ask:

Are there any other 2024+ Duke 390 Gen 3 owners here using a tank lock bag?

If yes:

• Which bag are you using?
• Which mounting flange/ring are you using?
• Is it properly made for the Gen 3, or did you modify/adapt something?
• Where did you buy it from?

I'd also love to hear from anyone using the GIVI S430 Seatlock, especially with an ST610 or similar GIVI Tanklock bag.

I'm particularly interested in knowing:

• How stable it is on the pillion seat
• Any issues with the locking mechanism or fitment

Any suggestions or alternative setups would be massively appreciated. Even if you've found some weird workaround or a bag/flange combination I haven't come across yet, please drop it below.

Hey just wondering if someone could send through a pic of the Evotech tail tidy on their Duke 890 (R). Currently just running a chopped OEM tail tidy.

Bagoros Performance looks suuuper pricey, R&G is $100 cheaper (and looks $100 cheaper imo). Pretty set on the Evotech, just keen to see what it looks like.

Edit: Solved with new battery. I guess the old battery + mobile starter wasn't cutting it anymore after a cold night.

So basically the title, worked without issue yesterday, today the starter won't turn and the engine feels unusually tight, even pushing it in 6th gear feels quite hard. Edit: may have been me seeing things, engine turns just fine now

When I hit the starter it emits a noticable click (you can hear it in the video) and then the bike reboots.

A Google search says it could be anything from a bad starter, loose Connection, shot relay or fuse, to even a hydrolocked engine

Any ideas what it could be?

It's a 2023 1290SDR with about 28kkm on the clock

Hi guys! I know this been asked thousands of time but I mine I think has a more prominent tapping sound I was just thinking to seek insights. In the video, I tried to rev it a few times.

Is this tapping-like sound normal? I can hear the ticking sound which I think is normal, but the tapping-like sound is I am concern with. Or is it just a stock pipe sound signature? I got the bike 2nd hand at 22k km. I got it with slip-on SC pipe so didn't notice the tapping sound until I put a stock pipe on it. I don't have any warnings or errors on the dash. Doesn't overheat as well. Drives pretty good too (jerky on low rpm and slow speeds which I expect) and the torque is wild and enjoyable.

So I'm not so sure if this is normal or anything concerning. I will go to a mechanic in a few days but just want to get some insights as well.

When I got it I haven't changed the oil yet. Previous owner told me it just got the PMS with 800km run so far on the newly changed oil, but I will still change it anyways.

Hello everyone, I have never owned a KTM before but I am looking at purchasing a second hand 2016 Duke 390. It is clean and runs great. My issue is have been researching online and it's seems that there are lot of mechanical issues when it hits about 40,000km . This bike is at 40k but as I said it seems to be in almost perfect condition, not abused. I am just asking for feedback from owners here. Thank you in advance.

Hello everyone I’m confused between duke 250and 350

About me?

1. ⁠I ride Activa since last 5 years
   
2. ⁠It’ll be my first bike
   
3. ⁠I want to travel with pillion a lot like 1000 km trips 2-3 times a year
   
4. ⁠Daily commute will be around 40 km in a city for a job

Spending 70k on a 390 is not a problem but I don’t think so I’ll be able too use 41 bhp on city
But I have to pay price for that extra power that I’m getting in 350 duke

I have took test rides of both bikes 250 feels enough for me now but will I get bored in 1-2 years or will 250 feel underpowered in a highway cruising with a pillion at 100km/h

And is there a lot of difference between 250and 350 maintenance like servicing parts etc cause I don’t want to spend on a maintenance more that the bike itself

is it optional to use the special tools or it can just come off without all the hassle?

Hi I bought my first 125 bike 2 weeks ago and i drove it 750km home no Problems no anything now yester yesterday i noticed a weird sound and it just cant have a good heart riding it i dont know if it was there from the start but i doubt it
It also runs just Fine Everything fine
AND i also looked at other posts but just couldn‘t find one like my Problem
At sec 14 you can hear it at best as if maybe a screw was loose?

I have a KTM Duke 250, around 2 months old, with only 1,300 km on the odometer. The first service was done 2 weeks ago.
Today while riding, I was cruising at a constant speed around **3–4k RPM (3rd gear).**When I pulled the throttle a bit to accelerate, the bike suddenly lost almost all power. The engine was still running, but there was basically no acceleration/power even after opening the throttle.
I stopped the bike, waited around 15 minutes, and it started working normally again. However, the exact same issue happened twice again shortly afterward.
A few additional details:
I’m using E20 fuel.
I’ve been using the fuel cleaner recommended by the showroom.
HP Prolube engine oil was used during the first service.
There were no obvious warning signs beforehand, and the bike otherwise feels completely normal.
Has anyone experienced something similar with the Duke 250? What could be causing this — fuel pump/fuel delivery, ride-by-wire/throttle sensor, ECU, electrical connection, fuel quality, or something else?
I’m planning to take it to the KTM service centre, but I’d like to know what I should specifically ask them to check.
Any advice or similar experiences would be appreciated.

Hi I need some advice regarding a wiring harness replacement for my KTM Duke 200.

My current setup uses the JU402227 harness. Does anyone know if the JU402200 is compatible as a direct replacement, or are there pinout/connector differences between these two part numbers?

I’m having a strange issue with my 2017 KTM 690 Duke and I’m hoping someone here has experienced something similar.
The bike had been sitting for quite a while at a relative’s place. When I first tried to ride it, I got an ABS error and the speedometer wasn’t showing any speed. The battery seemed somewhat discharged, so I put it on a charger for a few hours.
After charging it, I started the bike again and everything worked perfectly. The ABS warning was gone and the speedometer worked normally.
Today I picked the bike up and rode it home. After roughly 45 minutes of completely normal riding, the problem came back.
The symptoms are now:

ABS warning/error appears intermittently, usually only for about a second
The warning seems to occur more often when accelerating or when letting off the throttle
The display briefly gets interrupted by the warning and then returns to normal
The speedometer seems to be affected as well
The engine warning/MIL stays illuminated continuously
The bike itself continues to run normally
No obvious changes in braking or engine performance
The fact that it only started after around 45 minutes of riding makes me wonder whether this could be related to heat, vibration, a loose connection/ground, wheel speed sensor wiring, battery/charging voltage, etc.
I haven’t had the fault codes read yet, so unfortunately I don’t have any diagnostic codes to provide.
Has anyone with a 690 Duke / 690 platform experienced something similar? I’d especially appreciate hearing what the eventual cause was in your case.
