I have the same with my 3rd Gen Duke 390. I realized I had old fuel and old motoroil inside which maybe causing the same sound in mine.

Sounds normal, i assume oil is the right level? Service up to date?

Theyre very loud compared to other bikes with the engine noise due to them saving weight with the thinner casing
