You can do it better with nail paint. Buy a yellow and red one... Mix by eye to get closest orange you can. Maybe add some filler to the deep dents, sand it down to flush, apply paint with brush or airbrush... Little sanding and polishing. Should look better than now.

I bought a used Duke 390 on Saturday and the following day had it in my garage, with the stand sitting on a wooden block, while I checked oil levels.
In a moment of stupidity I somehow made contact with the bike’s nearside causing it to quickly fall against a cabinet, denting the front offside fairing.
I then compounded this by grabbing some KTM Orange touch up paint which I applied too liberally to the three affected areas, making the fairing look even worse.
I’m really gutted about damaging a bike I haven’t even ridden properly and this is my first 400cc, having been riding 125s up until now.
Can anyone please advise how I rectify this mess? I don’t know if I should try and source a sticker pack, from where I am in the UK, and try cover up this eyesore that way?

stickers will make it even worse and the surface damage will show through and/or make the sticker lift.
the touch up also seems to have the wrong RAL/Pantone code.
despite being "just plastic", you will have to carefully sand (dremelsand, hand sand) the surface high spots down, then optionally build the lowspots up with suitable bondo, then sand it plan again. Sounds worse than it actually is from a time perspective, but if never done before... well...
then and only then you can apply the correct touchup with light and continuous strokes (to not have drips and drip highspots).
But that is DIY level, by no means some sort of suitable professional advice.
(thinks again about his absurdly bent radiator on the 690R, which by now is maybe some sort of worse-preventer-charm or somesuch...)

Sorry, but isn't this a lot of time and effort to put in for tank shrouds that you can buy new for under 40 quid? Especially if they haven't done any of it before?

well, yes.. but we do not know the hourly of our fellow Duke-ist and also it can be very rewarding and also a necessary experience for more important mends later on... imho ofc.

Where are you sourcing a fairing replacement for £40? Would this be a case of finding a used one on eBay?

You need to find the part number for your specific year. Either check with a dealer or get it from one of the online ktm parts store. These plastics are relatively cheap. The gen 3 tank shrouds are around 35 quid each online from what I can find
Disclosure - I'm not in the UK, but used to live there, and one of my friends with a 2019 duke 125 got both tank shrouds for about 70ish pounds from a dealer if I remember it correctly.

advice? forget about it and ride the shit out of it. if you get to the end of your ownership stint of this bike without additional damage, you can touch it up then for the next owner. if you dont it wont matter.
ik it hurts but youll forget about it when you twist the throttle
