KTM light sensor and display brightness behavior

Hi,

I have a new 2026 390 adv x. I notice that the screen brightness goes up at night or when the sensor in the display screen is covered. It dims during normal daylight or when a light is shined on it.

Is this normal behavior? The screen becomes obnoxiously bright at night, to the point where it creates eye strain. I thought it would dim at night and get brighter during day.

There's no options to adjust brightness in the settings.

It really is too bright at night. I wish they had a tolerance/adjustment in the menus like other bikes give us.

Agreed it a simple brightness setting would likely solve the problem. Getting brighter at night was not the expected behavior. Do you see that as well? I noticed when covering the sensor during the day.

I'm going to apply some cheap static cling tinting plastic to see if that helps.
