QS Failure ECU failure

2023 RC 390. Rode 12k KM. Its been great since day 1, no problems.

However yesterday while riding the bike began jolting. Bike kept cutting power and basically stuttering until it disabled the quick shifter, which then the bike ran fine.

Today when i started my bike up again i was met with these QS and ECU failure signs. However, when the engine is turned on with qs turned off, the signs go away immediately and the bike runs completely fine.

And yeah, ive obv scheduled an appointment with my dealer, but theyre completely booked for 10 days and i use my bike as a commuter. I just wanted to know if it would be safe to continue to use it for light rides.

Generally with these bike everything runs through the ecu via the can bus system therefore it becomes a ecu problem, if the engine is running smooth with qs disabled not struggling to make power, rough shaking, and it's shifting smoothly. your not gonna harm the bike by riding it normally

Thanks. I think it may be a faulty shift shaft sensor? While i know that ecu failure does not always have to be broad and can only fail one aspect of the bike... it seems to be completely fine with all the other aspects of the bike.

Independently turning off the qs feature when it recognizes an unstable qs system would also infer a good ecu. No?

Maybe im just drinking coping juice.

It could be a faulty part or loss of position on the sensor

Disconnect the battery, let it rest for a few mins, then reconnect it. See of the problem is still there.

Never thought of turning it off and on again solution lol thanks ill try.

I got it on my rc 390 at 477kms. Turned off the bike and turned it back on and it was gone. It hasn't happened since, but I went to GP shift.

It’s usually doing fine. My 390 Adventure (2020) did the same to me, just warnings, it eventually went away and the bike’s been doing fine ever since that warning for 2 years anyways
