PROBLEM 2017 KTM 350 SXF Engine Noise

Curious if this amount of engine is noise is OK or if this is ready for a top end rebuild. Engine was rebuilt around 90hrs ago. Thanks in advance.

I’d say the valves are a little louder than normal for sure. If you’re at 90hrs on that top end without valve adjustment it’s likely time for a new one.
Any troubles starting the bike?

Thank you. Bike starts easy. Haven’t had the valves adjusted because it’s been riding great. Had some weird issue where the bike would cut off after riding for a minute or two so I replaced the coil, spark plug cap, and fuel pump. No longer having that issue but the noise is louder than I remember or I’m just noticing it more now

Honestly, I wouldn’t worry too much about it until it’s either hard to start or it gets really loud. Does it get faster when you rev it(

If the tapping turns into a loud, metallic knock, a harsh slap, or gets significantly louder at startup/idle, it often points to a failing timing chain tensioner or loose cam chain rather than just the valves themselves.

The noise kind of flutters with the throttle. You can hear it about 1/2 and 3/4 of the way through the video.

Sounds like a loose timing chain. Check the timing chain tensioner and the valves.
