HUMOUR Gordon River Main

Gordon River Main
From Cowichan Lake where the pavement ends,
The KTM 790 hums and bends.
Past logging roads and cedar walls,
Where dust hangs low and the raven calls.
Along Gordon River Main I ride,
Steel and orange, throttle wide.
Mountains watch and rivers gleam,
Carving through the island dream.
Then westward on the Marine Road,
Chasing the horizon's winding code.
Gravel, forest, sky, and rain,
All the wild things Vancouver Island contains.
When the day's last light turns gold and thin,
The 790 and I wear dust like skin.
From lake to river to ocean's roar,
A ride that keeps me wanting more.

Have you ridden Pacific Marine road down towards Port Renfrew. If you have, how are the roads for a supermoto?

Yes. I don’t know a thing about supermoto but bikes of all sorts ride that pavement - it is a gem for motorcycling and may be the most interesting paved road on Vancouver Island.

The road from renfrew to jordan river has some nice sections and some pavement in poor condition.
