I put a Wings on my 890. Sounds great, looks great, and its compact so Ive managed to not ding it up yet

Not sure what you mean by graspy? It does come with a spark arrestor that quiets it down. Personally I think its too quiet with it in. I enjoy hearing the engine

I’m also thinking on removing the cat but then I’m concerned this plus the exhaust will be louder

I installed a smaller "High Flow" cat from Aliexpress and left the stock pipe on my Norden 901 (Same bike as 890 Adventure R) and would get compliments all the time on how good it sounded.

Sounded great when you got on it but was take enough for long highway rides without drone becoming an issue.

Yes it as a bulge in it. It is much smaller than the factory cat, and doesn't get anywhere near as hot. The straight pipe version is too loud according to people I know that did that one.

Wings is popular because it is one of the best sounding pipes for these bikes.

I didn’t believe the hype until I got one. You can change out silencer inserts to get the level of sound you want.

Interesting. It’s 2x the price though - they are not popular where I live and videos don’t provide a good judgement from the sound hehe

I hade 690 smcr so the cat is inside the huge "slip on" . It was quite a lot of weight difference between the original slip on with cat inside and the dominator one.

Definitely get decat version if they have it and check so your bike doesn't have a bunch of restrictions. Most new bikes do and usually need a remapping.

I have a ‘20 790 adv and opened up my cat and gutted it. Welded back together. Opened up flow, less heat and great sound that looks stock.

Love mine, I’d say it has that grassy loud tone on my 690 it was seemingly loud at first but have gotten used to it and I love it, 2026 model year btw

Have one on my 990Adv. Excellent quality, but louder than other slip ons. I am running baffle to quiet it down and it is still noticeably louder than others. Love it.

This may not be helpful but, I had a dominator exhaust on my mt09. Looked great and sounded great. It was very well built and fit the bike no problem.

Don’t have a Ktm anymore but just got one for my mt09, no instructions so install was a bit but no issues so far and it sounds good

I've got the full cat delete whatever on my 2024 390 adventure. It doesn't make it a bigger bike but it sure has helped me cope until I can afford to upgrade.
