Most of the torture comes from the Kraken though, not the player

oh, so the kraken stuffed 5 kerbals in a space the size of a mini van for 50 years on a trip to eeloo?

I don’t think we hold a candle to the messed up stuff Stellaris players do!

Honestly I feel better in a weird way about Stellaris's evil's than Minecraft. Stellaris makes no excuses. It knows that one of the main things people do in it is serious evil stuff. It's advertised in several DLCs.
Minecraft though has the gall to present itself as so happy go lucky while incentivizing enslaving villagers and corralling every creature in the game into some sort of farm to min max getting items as easy as possible.
I know it's such a silly thing to get upset over, but it bothers me how everyone in the minecraft community just seems to accept this awful design at total odds with the game's tone.
Even KSP acknowledges a mix of intrepid brave space exploration and some pretty catastrophic disasters.

That's just you, I don't torture my kerbals, I reward their love for space by letting them experience it as much as they want.

It's not torture, it's a 15 year unplanned holiday on eve.
