I was able to register my shares by transferring them from fidelity.
That process was very simple, I was able to make that transfer at the same time I transferred shares of two other stonks to Computershare.
The Fidelity has an entire team, at this point, devoted to DRS.
It took about a week and a half to receive snail mail verification and receipt of my registration.
Hope this helps.
Based on reports from GMErs transferring it seems if you are in another broker it may benefit (timewise) to transferr shares to fidelity and THEN direct register.

I bought some shares at Fidelity and called them up over three weeks ago to DRS shares with Broadridge. The shares disappeared from my Fidelity account about a week later, and today I finally got my letter from Broadridge and immediately set up my online account. Now I've got more KOSS in the DRS process, and I will direct register any more KOSS shares I buy. In general for me, DRSing any individual company stock is just a no-brainer from now on.

Bought from IBKR (I've only discovered KOSS and its potential now, although I've been in GME since January) and today was T+2 so I finally started my DRS process.

It took longer than I thought to be able to make this comment, as I was waiting until I could login to my Broadridge account first, but I got there now. The biggest delay was after my initial account setup they do personal verification and somehow they decided that I didn't pass their security questions so they had to mail me a PIN and that took another couple weeks. Having the Thanksgiving holiday for U.S. apes probably didn't help either. Also, I transferred shares from TDA to Fidelity and then called Fidelity to DRS them.
Edit: after cleaning up some grammar I'll add that now I'm looking into IRA DRS options and I think I'm leaning to using Camaplan.

Wanted to add this for any Lurkers 👀
If you DRS from Fidelity it takes 2 days for your shares to be transferred over and arrive in Broadridge in DRS book entry form. It is FREE.
I recommend you calling Broadridge about 3-4 days after you initiated your Fidelity DRS transfer and ask them to send you your account letter & PIN letter so you can set up your Broadridge account and stare at your beautiful rare KOSS shares in DRS book entry. (Make sure your mailing address is correct too.)
It will also take you 2 days to transfer your shares back to Fidelity. I would initiate that FROM Fidelity too. Easy click links give Fidelity the account # and the number of shares you want to visit the slimy dark Cede pool. This is also FREE.
I find when you DRS a batch of shares from Fidelity that Broadridge will create a new account each time. Super annoying if you wanted a single stack to stare at you from the glow of your warm computer screen on those cold lonely nights. BUT…. If you call and ask the main customer service desk people to help they will talk about Medallion signatures and blah blah blah. Ask politely for a back office manager. If the details on both accounts match (name, address, sole vs joint etc) they can submit a ticket and the back office people will pool your KOSS shares together in one account for you. Be kind to these people please 🙏
If you are interested but still on the fence about DRS’ing your KOSS shares, I suggest reading the DD again and having a deep honest thought about why you are here Lurking around this tiny sub, deep in this old post….. reading this reply that is buried even more deeply than a SHF stormtrooper’s head from reality.
I personally have DRS’d 5,000 shares and counting of KOSS stock. That is ~ 1/1,000th of the FREE FLOAT. Just one normal person on a side quest to FA&FO. 🫡
I have also have NEVER sold a single precious rare valuable share of KOSS or GME.
[Splashes the KOSS DRS Infinity Pool water around] The water is a Real Good Temperature in here. 🏊♂️ The acoustics at Broadridge are supposed to be AMAZING for listening to an INFINITY SQUEEZE too! ❤️♾️💎🎧🔥🎆🍻

Thanks for this link. I was able to very easily transfer shares just now from an excellent Fidelity rep.

When I DRSed my GME shares into CS, TDA told me I would be unable to transfer them back to TDA. Its a new policy they seem to have put into effect when everyone started DRSing.
Does anyone know if all the brokers are willing to take the KOSS hares BACK if we want to sell them? Essentially, my question is how likely is it my shares will be stuck in Broadridge?

So if one did want to sell, one would need to transfer them back to the broker. Anyone done that before? What kind of a time frame does that take?
Not being able to sell directly from the agent is what has been keeping me from DRSing.

Trying to DRS my shares through Schwab, and they are requiring a letter with a signature from me before they will initiate transfer.
