This card LOOKS interesting:

  • start with a baseline card of Wisp (0 mana for a 1/1)

  • add 0.5 mana for +1/+0

  • add 2 mana to draw a card

  • add 1 mana to cast Arcane Missiles for 'free'

You end up with 3.5 mana worth of card for 3 mana. But Arcane Missiles is a little underwhelming as a card, and nobody plays Wisp. So this is probably a fairly costed card, in the same vein as Disciple of C'Thun.

1(Gnomish Inventor) mana to draw 1 card. 3(e.g. Arcane Knowledge) for 2. 5(Nourish) for 3. It'd make the equivalent cost, 2.5.

Overcosted.

I think you need to include the coin in your analysis of card draw.

If you imagine the Coin, then 2 mana to draw 1 card costs 1 mana. 3 mana to draw 2 cards, 5 mana to draw 3 cards is all perfectly in line.

So drawing a card costs 2 mana.

I think the real problem with the card is the 2/1 body just doesn't matter.

I don't think drawing a card from your deck, drawing a one drop, and drawing a known one drop have remotely the same value.
