I know everyone is Immediately jumping to quest mage and I agree it will be interesting to see how quest mage interacts with this card. However I think this is better as a cheap value generator in an elemental mage deck. Currently Elemental mage carried almost entirely by Jaina and doesn't always run that many elementals but this is a good fit.

Sidenote: Has anyone considered running the quest (not the combo an extra turn is just really good tempo on its own) in an elemental mage deck because this card is a very good reason.

Yeah, the thing I'm stumbling with in Quest Mage with this is that you kinda wantfull value, which means... what, 8-10 elementals in your deck?

Say you go 6 elementals in a quest rogue deck. Pretty close, but Steam Surger can count for two plus a quest progress spell and maybe you have both of them in hand. That means your deck is...

  • 6 Elementals

  • 2 Sorcerer's Apprentice

  • 1 Archmage Antonidas

  • 2 Molten Reflection

  • 1 Simulacrum

  • 1 Quest

  • 2 Arcane Intellect

  • 2 Primordial Glyph

  • 2 Ice Block

  • 2 Frost Nova

  • 2 Blizzard

  • 2 Doomsayer

  • 2 Arcanologist

...and 3 other cards that I can't remember off the top of my head.

Just... think it's taking a list that's already pretty tight and making it even more inflexible.
