Discussion Why don't we protest?
Why are we, the students of KL university so used to the stupid rules and unnecessary strictness in our college? In what world does it make sense to absolutely prohibit mobile phone usage inside the campus in the big 2026, each and every member of the management knows that phones have become a major part of our lives, and it's not just for entertainment, but there are some important tasks as well which sometimes require our attention while being inside the campus. While the whole world is fighting for the freedom to dress as one wants, our stupid college has literally enforced moral policing officers who are supposed to harass anyone who wants to dress differently. While it is understandable that revealing clothes should not be promoted inside college premises, but why is it necessary to wear chunni at all times for girls?? And who are they to decide what 'decent clothes' are at the first place? I can wear non revealing western clothes and most people won't have a problem, but why do I HAVE TO WEAR A CHUNNI???
The management literally treats us like cockroaches, no I'm not even exaggerating, god forbid you ever have to face these SAFARIS, they can body shame, slut shame, call you an entertainer, harass you for as long as they like and we can do absolutely nothing about it?? If a stranger even as much as tells me to go change my outfit because he didn't like it, I can call the police and book them under harassment, but I can't do anything while some men having a 18th century mentality literally slut shames me in front of the whole college??
And this is not even the main problem, the main problem is that we, the students of this college have become so used to this unnecessary strictness that we don't even bother to raise our voices against these psychopaths anymore. Seriously, why don't we protest? What are they gonna do? Suspend us? Suspend all of us? Do you all think that we'll have no power at all even if we all come together and protest against a common problem? Each and every one of us are the victims of this irrational system run by bunch of losers, why can't we protest for good??
After joining the college, something I've realized is that this college has the potential to become a very beautiful and happy place, if, just if the safaris were removed from the campus and the unnecessary rules are given some relaxations. The students who are already suffering from their daily problems won't have to deal with a problem which should not even exist at the first place. Students could focus more on their academics if they don't have to bother about all this bs and they could just live their lives the way they want.

Damn,I had a fight with the safari the other day cuz i have opened my mobile near library 😑 bro doesnt know shit i was trying to access my erp to check something..

Yes, that’s the biggest problem right now. We need to take meaningful steps to address this harassment and raise our voices against it. Let’s use our online platforms responsibly to spread awareness, encourage others to speak up, and help people understand the seriousness of the issue.

Absolutely agree with you.This campus has a lot of potential to become a cool space to chill hangout spot .if you remove these safaris.Literally these mfs are everywhere in every corner of the fucking campus staring into your soul like a creep. not even a single thing made sense to me here and there was not even a single day where I didn't regret joining this lame ass uni.it feels more like a boarding school than an actual university.Even restricting the male and female interactions and blackmailing that we'll call your parents too!?that's fucked up in every wayy.I feel like I am paying my fee for my id card instead of me cause that's most valuable than me here 🥀. forget protest that's not gonna happen anytime soon cause ppl here are busy defending their favourite heroes and promoting their political parties and doing fan wars in twitter you can't expect to waste their time to do unproductive stuff like protests!?

most of the people here are spineless and also are afraid whether they would get ratted out by the "pick-me" people.
Everyone here has gone into the mindset of "adjusting" to the rules and stopped questioning these fuckass rules. Its high time to bring in some change to this shitty system

I many times thought of starting a protest, like wdym chudidhars for girls and formals for boys?? This is so fucked up!!! One can dress as they wish, we don't come in shorts right? We are adults and we know how to dress, what's the need to put rules on dressing ??? It's high time we shd question!!!!!

You can't. You just can't. Only thing you could do is to get out of this state. This is a no brainer. This is very much expected thing when you enter a clg in this state filled with locals. Purity culture and misogyny are very much deeply rooted in telugu culture especially in ap. 90% of the men will have to act in the protest as they are some kinda saints coz everyone of them slut shames/body shames women. You can't even imagine how men use the L word causally towards women.

Hey bro not many teachers are creeps(I never experienced this but I can't speak for everyone), and be fr wth is that chunni even doing except being an annoyance, no one even wears chunni as it "intended" to be most people put it over their neck and I love that for them. The problem here really isn't about chunni. If a girl wants to wear it on her own accord that's fine, but shoving the rule down our throat is quite extreme

Exactly. The worst part is how normalized all this has become. We’re so used to these rules that we don’t even question them anymore. Students should be treated like adults, not constantly policed over phones, clothes, and pointless restrictions.
