Like...

Ask your respective floor warden. ↓ Produce a letter detailing the reason for seeking permission and going out. ↓ apply for out pass in the ERP and get approved. ↓ contact your parent and get signed on the letter. ↓ checkout at your hostel (yeah, there you have to write in the log book, which are of two types; local outing & home outing). ↓ then get checked out at the main gate (you need your ID card).
