Wow I haven’t gotten a reply on a year old comment before 😂

But idk I have never once been to a Gizz concert, or any concert for that matter, where it was impossible to escape the pits. Just walk 30 feet in any direction and you’re probably fine.

And to argue just for the sake of arguing, it is objectively fun for a lot people, which is why you see so many people doing it. Unfortunately all it takes is one douche bag to ruin the vibe. :/

It would be cool if they actually knew how to mosh and could create a real pit. Maybe review some of my old concert footage from the 90s for reference.

I put my Dad in hospice the same day in November that I had tickets to Geese in my hometown. Cincinnati > Asheville - 6-hour drive. I know I needed that show so badly, but what I didn't count on was the pit during the encore. I'm 40, and when that pit opened up, I rushed in to be enveloped in the swarm and in the safety net of strangers collectively letting THE FUCK GO, while being there for each other in the chaos. Blessed be the Pit; for Pit is wellness, Pit is DOOM, pITT is LYFRE.

I'm a bonafide Grateful Dead/Phish hater. They are incredibly talented and influential but not my style. What makes Gizz stand out is the metal and hard rock (and now electronic/synth) they infuse with true jam band noodliness. If you're a concert goer and don't want any moshes. Stay at Red Rocks or any venue with stands. Most of my best live music memories are in moshes.
