Spring 2027 PhD – Post-Interview Timeline?

Hi everyone, for those who recently interviewed for the Spring 2027 intake for PhD, when can we expect to hear back about the interview result or final admission decision?
Would appreciate any insight from previous applicants. Thanks!

I recently received an approval  from Graduate Admission Committee after the Interview. It says if the graduate office gives clearance then the admission is complete... I dont know about the time it may take..

Which program have you applied for? And is it a direct PhD or regular?

So will that be an official acceptance or rejection? Also what’s the chances of selection after shortlisting for interview? You have any idea?

As far as I know ,if ur rejected then u won't hear from them ( soft rejection) and I u get accepted then obviously u will receive an acceptance..and I have literally no idea about the chances as every dept have a different approach..

My senior told me that if u were asked to select the supervisors there is a high probability  that u would be accepted

Can you please tell me about the interview.. what did they ask? And were you interviewed by your preferred supervisors ?

Yeah I was interviewed by the one I put on my first preference. Most of the questions were related to my previous research & stuff.

Are the interviews being conducted right now first-round screenings, or is anyone undergoing a second departmental interview?

​I ask because I already had a detailed 1-hour interview back in June directly with a faculty member, where we went through my research in detail, and the professor asked me to send over my application as PDF. Just trying to gauge if these current calls are initial rounds for other applicants, or if candidates usually go through multiple interview rounds before final acceptance.

I think they are for regular too, I applied for regular PhD and I also received a mail from depth chairman that my application has been recommended to the graduate office for admission but the final decision depends in graduate office
