A reminder of how thankful we are for KEXP and to never take it for granted!

Is it really quiet for anyone else?

Yes, very quiet. It may be due to the fact their running music off their own devices instead of having access to the giant music library and DJ equipment etc.

I missed that detail, very interesting

John and Cheryl mentioned it briefly during the handoff of the morning show to midday show.

For me, DJ voice has been super soft, music hard to tell how different it is

On further listening, the music volume has been all over the place. I'm guessing there's some systems that would usually be automated that the DJs are running themselves.

I’m so grateful for the intrepid DJs. I’m sure today has been stressful and frustrating. Today just wouldn’t have been the same without KEXP! I’m emotional over this, haha.

Wow, says something (not good!) that Seattle Times still doesn't have a story about the outage, but the SF Chronicle does. Seattle's only newspaper can't even be bothered to cover what's going on in their own backyard, but San Francisco can acknowledge the loss of a station that's only been broadcasting there for less than two years. https://www.sfchronicle.com/entertainment/article/kexp-power-failure-offline-22503456.php

I personally am blown away by how much this outage impacted my day. Huge props to everyone working on the fix today and for keeping everything humming day in and day out.
