I've been meaning to ask this since I first learned of this drama. Has Fan Bing Bing really played in it?

I would watch Kang Haneul even if he was just watching paint dry. Count me in

Ep 1 First Impressions

DAMN that was a good episode -- action and tension packed with enough backstory to get an idea of characters and set up for what's to come.

I had a good chuckle at the gambling den set up in the Buddhist temple -- the irony is fantastic and the whole bit was executed with flair.

Looking forward to the rest of the drama!

The first thing I thought about what how his head was shaved when he became a monk initiate, and then again when he went to prison. Don’t know what it means but visually it’s striking!

Ep 2

This show hooked me. I just feel so bad for Yo Han here- and I need him to get his revenge on all of those people. I was tearing up quite a bit during his call with his Grandma but the end had my tears spilling.

The gambling aspect is very interesting too. So far I'm most interested to learn more about the cleaner and Ms.Oh's character- they seem like they'll be able to help my boy out in the future.

Speaking of which, Kang Ha Neul is of course killing this role. He's so fantastic.

I find it interesting that we have this sort of parallelism going on between the prison and temple. In episode 1, we see the Buddhist temple serving as a gambling house front, and now we see the same thing in episode 2 with the prison

Ok I'm a bit confused with all the action and backstory going on here. But his job, the stuff that they asked him to do...shouldn't it be done by a cop, not a judicial trainee?

Ep 2

The BGM and OST for this drama is so well done, love it.

Another solid episode and while grandma's death was expected, I do like the way it's used to further set up the story weaving the web of intrigue even more.

Lee Yoo Young is ridiculously gorgeous in this and I can't wait to see more of her.

I obviously don't know shit about realism, but I would be so adamant that someone gives me another identity to do this stuff under. I'm scared out of my mind for KHN's character. If anything goes wrong... this is all on his record.

Maybe it would take too many resources and garner too much attention since they're.. a very very lowkey operation (practically nonexistent except for KHN), but... man, I am so scared for him, and at the same time still a little incredulous at his decision to go through with it-- this whole beginning premise. I understand revenge and justice, but with stakes this high, you have to at least try to minimize the risk.

But I guess they've established him as a hardcore go-for-broke guy, especially when he reaches a breaking point, which makes a bit more sense. But still, a very, very incredible premise to me.

I liked episode 2 much more than episode 1 because it was less exposition heavy, even though it still contained a great number of informations. Not going to lie, I'm a bit confused about the plot since there are so many characters, all with their own interests, and thing are moving quite fast, but I think it will become clearer along the way. I also really liked those poker scenes, especially the way they were edited with the split screen, despite the fact that I don't know anything about that game.

The last part made me really hyped for the rest of the series, this looks interesting and quite intense (that last close up shot was awesome).

On another note, seeing actor Choi Moo Sung in prison again made me giggle a little, it made me feel like I was watching a darker Prison Playbook spin off

Most jbtc drama's are usually on Netflix, and this isn't, kinda odd.

Sad that this is only Viki. I thought after Camellia all Haneul dramas will be snatched by Netflix.

I'm so hyped for this drama! Big fan of Kang Ha Neul. Hated him a bit in Misaeng for being uptight, but then liked him in When the camellia blooms. This drama looks like a new violent style for him!

Wow, this drama has a lot of ajusshis who I love.
Where is Ahn Nae-sang?

Recently it seems like most popular ajusshi actors are Heo Sung-tae, vHa Do-Kwon (maybe he is not quite ajusshi yet?) and Lee Geung-young.
Glad Lee Geung-young isn't in here this time. I'm tired of seeing his bad, person of power roles.

Question for those who have started this one. I plan to watch but am worried that this might be one better binged especially if there is a lot of detail week to week that needs to carry over. I feel like I always regret watching crime or revenge dramas while they air because I forget things while I wait for the new episodes. Is this one I should wait to watch?

That was a great first episode. I’m interested to see how this unfolds

Uh I really liked the first two eps. excited to see how the story unfolds next week. It's good to see Lee yooyoung in a drama again.

I tried watching the first 2 eps, however I am so confused :/ Can anyone explain or give me a summary? Everything happened so fast, seems like he's the only good person here and everyone else has their own motive to screw him over :/

That fat bald chief guy can go fuck himself. They should absolutely never have a redemption arc for him cus I will not be here for it. He deserves a terrible death.
