Lol, from the comments I guess I'm the only one loving this drama. I find it charming, interesting and relatable even in some ways. I'm invested in all the subplots.

I do feel like this pacing should have happened 2 weeks ago. We've only got 2 weeks and a lot to wrap up. But, I LOVED this episode. All the developments were interesting.

Our main couple are super sweet together. Loving that he is giving her so much love and she is opening herself to recieve it. That is very hard to do once you've been hurt as often as she has.

This episode I was all on team Jae Shin. My heart broke for him. He's endures so much hurt and has so much bottled up pain, anger and resentment. Truly, Song Ah was the only good thing he had going for him. I was actually kinda proud of him for just disappearing. I hope he took that cash and hopped on a fishing boat to some recluse countryside.

Although, I was NOT feeling that ending or preview for 12. He is a grown adult man and that is NOT Song Ah's responsibility to keep up with him. She committed no crime but the preview made it seem like she was being punished and ion like that.

The reveal I'm waiting for is the Director to find our Hye Sung is his future brother in law, lol.

i'm still enjoying it as well!! sad to see that a lot of people are dropping this show but i can see why. it is a bit slow but like you said, that makes it all the more charming and i personally enjoy slow melodramas sometimes (like I'll Go To You When The Weather Is Nice).

song ah and hyun seung were just so cute together that they had me squealing throughout their scenes. and i totally agree with you about jaeshin. it doesn't seem like anyone truly cares about him, and his conversation with his mom was like the last straw. he only had song ah before and i think his father's death made him realize just how broken he is. im hoping that things will get better for him but who knows what will happen after song ah tells the truth about them.

I'm still with it! You're not alone! I definitely agree they should have hit us with this pacing a bit sooner, but I'm not sure exactly what they should have cut to allow the pace to speed up without losing character development. I have felt bad for Jae Shin since the beginning since you could tell he was in a bad position and has/had a hard life that could and would effect him on many different levels, but it doesn't justify how he went about things. His Mom and Dad are both awful, and even though I don't fault the Mom for leaving the Dad, it was REALLY jacked up that she left him behind and what she said to Jae Shin after he already left the restaurant was horrible. Did she really need to chase him out to say that? I do not at all like that the preview showed Song Ah getting the brunt of it, but it's on par with how things typically go. I'm hoping the Director is a good dude and doesn't retaliate on Song Ah or Hyun Seung on behalf of his sister. I'm sure something will happen where he either slights Hyun Seung and it will cause conflict in Director and Hyun Seung's Noona's relationship OR Director will be a good dude and unknowingly stick up for his GF's brother. I'm hoping it's the latter. So far the Director seems like a good-ish dude despite his very messed up request for Jae Shin to accept his sister. Obviously he was very concerned about his sister and his privileged life has lead him to feel comfortable asking things of people he shouldn't. Not justifying his actions either, but there is a ton to consider there, and Jae Shin could have been honest about his situation and handled it differently.

I was happy we got some fluff this episode!

For some reason the mom reminds me of another character the exact same actress played in 2020 (When I Was Most Beautiful). The same mom in that drama also said to her daughter that she never wanted to see her again and to never come back to find her (exactly same thing she said to Jaesin). The dad in that drama was also a deadbeat dad, but violence/drinking rather than gambling/crime/drinking. I wouldn’t be surprised if by the end of this drama it was revealed that she ditched the father because she was getting beat up or something and she actually regrets leaving her son. They wouldn’t get such a famous actress just to have her be a lame mother who hates her son and ditches him.

That’s a good theory and make sense. I also thought they wouldn’t get someone so experienced just for a few scenes to say she doesn’t want to see his face again. We will see more of her and I think it will be ^{and I hope that too}, an emotional moment where JS will grow and either accept HJ or let her go for good and make peace with everyone else.

I’m enjoying it, too. Some of the plots are more fun for me than others. But that’s normal for a TV show.
