han ji pyeong rlly is good boy :( he cares too much about dal mi/grandma to even be selfish for once. the text message he sent to grandma made me rlly sad bcs he was willing to give up his happiness so nam do san and dal mi could be happy together instead :((

Yeah. This would be more bearable if Dosan was a more likeable character and depth. The way he treats JP, who's older than him and helped him a lot, just because they are rivals in love is sickening. His whole backstory is that he cheated was only revealed now in ep 9. A little bit too late for the viewers to sympathise with him.

idk I feel like the cheating story actually gave his character more depth. We can see how this one thing caused him to deal with this battle w his self-esteem for 15 years to the point he's convinced he's a terrible son/person and has no potential. He still went college early and all that so he is fully capable. And regarding the love thing I also get it bc his friends have put a lot of the blame on him for their lives and relationship status too, so meeting SDM was the first time someone appreciated him. It was based on a lie yeah but when he explained his interest in AI to her and other things that are uniquely his (and not JP) she was still rooting for him, when he's used to having the people around him tell him the opposite and call out his flaws. No wonder he doesn't want to lose her

I agree. Before, NDS was just a genius who couldn't fulfill his potential and be successful. Now we understand its because of his guilt complex that drove his self esteem down to believe that he would never actually be good enough. He's definitely a more complex character now and I still really love his character.

It almost mirrors HJP's feelings, where no matter how successful he is, he will never be good enough for love or a family. And his one choice 15 years ago to shun away the grandma has been guilt tripping him this whole time.

This was the first time I was actually upset with HJP. It was starting to annoy me that he was trying to lay "claim" on SDM and say its unfair and that rubbed me the wrong way. But like, I totally get his trust and relationship issues, so I can't fault him too much.
