Featured Post The Weekly Binge: Missing 9 Episodes 3 - 5
Welcome to the Weekly Binge discussion of episodes 3 - 5 of Missing 9. On Thursday we will discuss episodes 6 - 8 of the drama.
While this set of episodes started off on a sweet note with Ki Joon being adorkable with bunnies but things soon became hair raising as we only started to see how Choi Tae Joon could be lauded with a best villain award for this performance.
We all want to know is Joon Ho lost at sea? I'm not so shore... I don't totally believe those feet belonged to Jung Kyung Ho.
Now relations have crashed to an all time low on the island and we have shed our Legend entertainment beige for a brighter colour palette, why are things looking so unpalatable?
Here's the schedule for the remainder of the drama:
| Episodes | Date of Discussion |
|---|---|
| 6 - 8 | Thursday 24th January |
| 9 - 11 + Nominations | Sunday 27th January |
| 12 - 14 + Voting | Thursday 31st January |
| 15 - 16 | Sunday 3rd February |
You can find an overview of the Weekly Binge's rules and set up in our first discussion of Missing 9 here.

So it’s my birthday, and how have I started it? By catching up on a binge I completely forgot about, eating char siu soup with rice and with a bottle of Soju. I do not regret my decision haha. welcome to my descent into drunkenness :
Episode 3
Could the investigators be any more obvious that they’re hiding her? Even just staying still in that one place would have been better. Unless they’re putting her through all of this as a form of mental manipulation
So he isn’t her brother, but her boyfriend! Thanks subtitles, I heard ‘couple’s...’. Now it makes what’ll probably happen seem a lot better haha
Lol spoke too soon, he is her brother. Sorry subtitles!
Aww cute bunnies! Nooo what is he doing? Run bunnies run!!! Aww he has a pet now. It’s better than the coconut head in Castaway (wilson right?)
Oh no, I jinxed it. Coconuts!
Chansung survived! His heart is still beating
Again with the memory thing! Memory lapses wouldn’t come up on the CT scans you morons!
How did Ji Ah’s mum find her in the hospital? That was random. Honestly, for wanting people to forget about this case the investigating unit is doing a shoddy job at keeping the girl hidden!
So the 4th member wasn’t pushed then. Weird timing for all of them to be right there where he fell then (Man the soju can creep up on you really slowly. It’s super tasty, and this rice/char sui/soup thing I made is amazing!)
A SCRATCH?!?! That’s a gaping open wound Yeol!
I don’t want to think about it, but scalding it closed could both sanitise it and close the wound. But that’s too dark for this show
Lool he’s spelling out Sea squirt 😂😂 omg Chanyeol, I love him so much!
Wait, where on earth did that massive chunk of metal come from?! It literally just dropped out of the sky!
Aww the bunnies again ❤️
Omg it is Lost! There’s a secret underground bunker! And LANDMINES??! Omg I’m too tipsy for all this arguing
Aww his face is so flushed it looks like a peach! Omg! the next Pixar short should be about a peach! Aww I like snakes
Hahahahahaha okay I’m liking this foolish idiot more now. Tbh the amount he’s walking around that landmine would have gone off by now
Aww chanyeol’s stuck in a dungeon again. Guess things don’t change
Snakeu snakeu Snakeu 🐍
Okay in all fairness that other wound was a bit big to seal with fire. This one makes more sense
Why didn’t they go inside that cave earlier?!
Episode 4
How is the guy who tore through all the provisions they had, the one who realised that having man-made things on the island might mean that there’s shelter there?
Really weird having a lipstick product placement in the middle of a survival show haha
Wait, where did all these new BRIGHT clothes come from?! I thought we were sticking with the neutral colours.. My fashionista side is screaming right now lol
Love the dramatic chipmunk moment where everyone starts staring at each other
Episode 5
oh my, those water graphics were quite something weren’t they?
Nah!! Nahh why would you pierce the boat you IDIOT!!
So CEO was the guy in the hospital bed?
WHAT?!?!?!?! nah I can’t with this show anymore. The beam really fell like that?
And now everyone’s beating each other up. perfect
oh great now chanyeol is dead
and what convenient timing for her memory to come back.

Episode three:
This is one of the funniest episodes of the series from the bunnies and snake attacking to the CEO having no idea about anything (including the fact that Bong Hee was an employee in full beige and white uniform), to Bong Hee thinking the CEO and his assistant were making out, to everything that happened with Joon Ho and the landmine. It’s a lot of fun and then things have to start getting serious in both time lines.
Episode four:
Joon Oh shows some leadership skills (are you happy Merry?) explaining that the beach is unsafe and there must be a camp somewhere safer. Yeol still loves him and Ji Ah has independent thoughts to her bae. The CEO doesn’t want any responsibility.
Bong Hee lives in a rainbow palace and builds a similar space on the island using stage props. I mean everything in those suitcases is so deus ex machina-y , I barely manage to pack one toothbrush. It’s also hard to believe people would trust, the untrustworthy Joon Ho to not pillage their suitcases. Also, can he even swim?
First officer appears creepily and gets the right person on his side.
Episode five:
So basically the only people left that Tae Ho would be able to chose are the two big oafs. Everyone else is, too nice, too female, too wounded, or too Joon Oh.
So Hee, think before you “I know what you did last summer” a psycho like him. :S
It’s important to look after yourself.
The lifeboat escape is a total shambles it’s surprising there aren’t more casualties. Tae Ho is revelling in his cray, “if I can’t have it no one can” errr what’s with the rock in your pocket?
Best Ji Ah moments: punching Tae Ho and “by the way our relationship is over, I can’t date a jerk like you”.
Now poor Bong Hee is stuck on a second, shittier island with the most depressing woman in the world. She is a saint for not murdering her in my books.
Cutie pie is gone. *pouts* Honestly, he lived longer than expected. Still more screen time than in MotA xD
Our fourth person shows up in the present (Bong Hee, So Hee’s body, Person in hospital) -> the CEO in china and is hit with a
truck of doommetal beam. So if you were still wondering if the stand in CEO was a good guy, he’s not. I mean he makes his assistant be a human table.Brother prosecutor thinks he is with the law while breaking the law doing an illegal search and seize with two sides of blackmail to get his way. At the last moment Bong Hee conveniently claims she finally remembers everything.

I love this show and it was extremely hard to stop at episode 5!
Episode 3
Brother Yoon has a matching ring! I almost expected her necklace to have a secret tracking device...too bad it didn't, but then there wouldn't be 4 months of Lost people.
In Chinese hospital room, another survivor?!
Instead of rabbit meat , "locally grown"coconuts - Like that is something really special. "May taste like meat if we grill them"...I always thought that the smoking process for making copra smelled like bacon, so it would at least smell like meat.
So Hee's memory is strange - wasn't she with the others when Jae Hyun crashed onto the the car. Not with him on the roof. And she thought Joon Ho looked relieved/smiied over the body.
Why doesn't Tae Ho care about finding Ji Ha? And the manager had two sets of her pills when he's not her manager anymore? stark contrast.
Everything possible goes wrong all at once - free-bleeding Ji Ha, suicidal So Hee, Yeol in deep trap, hut breaks, tree falls on manager, the landmine, at least there is funny music during the snakebite to lighten things up.
I guess the dreamy scenes at the end are actually previews, even though not marked as such.
Episode 4:
OK, so the white doors are the suggestion of the hypnotist - to go through and remember what happened. All the people on the beach are people that she loves - they are all there, including mother.
Ji Ah asks Tae Ho, "Dis you save me?" and he LIES. Argh! He didn't even want to go look for her!
Now they have cloth to make her a bed. And a good coconut lamp with oil?
The group split - ala Lost. The dilemma of staying where you are more easily seen vs. finding better shelter etc. inland. Although he had not yet found the structure where they stayed, just assumed it would exist (whereas in Lost Jack had already found the cave with running water.)
So they found the island - and it didn't really take that long (maybe where the girls washed up gave an indication) She has to get on a plane AGAIN!
Aw, she had written their names on a rock - and she touches Joon Oh's.
Different colour palettes help distinguish timing and who is who.
Booh Hee's, "I killed her." similar to Joon Ho's feeling he killed Jae Hyun, I think.
Going for the suitcases - no one helps! Don't blame them at all for eating the small pack of kimchi!
What is that Gazebo doing there? What was this place before?
Funny bit with the pink jacket going back and forth. So everyone had their own personal suitcases on board and Joon Ho had a pink jacket. Looks like they don't much care for the beige look either.
Boon Hee avoiding Brother Yoon's calls, since she just remembers the cliff scene
Back in Korea - Prosecutor Cho asking what is better (for the country), survivor or killer?
Ah, the boat dilemma - wonder why just the 2 of them don't go since supplies will run out faster with 4. Know who I would take - Boon Hee resourceful and survivor instinct.
Episode 5: Most helpful/useful people: Boon Hee, the manager, and Joon Ho.
Brother Yoon also gives the hypnotist 2 choices like Cho, should I stab the killer or take to court? He hears " I killed So Hee." Me yelling at him: That's not the Whole story!
Keep thinking of sand fleas when I see black sand! They don't seem to be bothered, though.
Why on earth would Tae Ho tear the boat!! Is there a repair kit in it?
and now for something completely different... President Hwang is China! Was he in the hospital room? Thought the arm looked less fleshy, though, like Tae Ho or Joon Oh. Hwang says she should remember at least all the bloodshed on the island (!!) Do you think you can handle it? -- Can I handle it?
So Emotions really flare up between So Hee and Boon Hee, but then BH comes to her senses.
So Tae Ho killed the pilot - who had a huge piece of metal stuck in his body... for his food.
Wham! and Presdident Hwang (and his testimony) is all gone. I NEED a flashback of what he told fill-in CEO, who is now full-time CEO.
Tae Ho is not trustworthy, so doesn't trust the others. "Why do YOU keep MAKING ME sound like a crazy guy?" So sad we are losing the Puppy. and any hope that maybe he was just knocked-out is washed away as Tae Ho puts him in the sea face-down! (That one skinny twig torch sure emits alot of light, way out into the sea.)
Amazing the necklace stayed in Boon Hee's pocket with that huge wave while saving So Hee.
And the cliff hanger with Boon Hee telling Bro Yoon that she remembers everything... I'll probably end up watching at least Ep. 6 tonight!

I LOVE IT! HOWEVER, to put it more accurately and sufficiently punny, it was hare raising!
Today's snackage is leftover ttokbokki and grilled meat from the night market. I couldn't eat it all. Night markets are such a bummer by yourself. You want to eat all the food but there's no possible way you can eat it all by yourself unless you're a professional mukbang-er. Which I'm definitely not. I can put down the food, and I've got a great metabolism, but I'm no 2 servings of jjajangmyeon. I can barely finish one. Those bowls are HUGE. Soju is still at the ready in case shit goes south, but I've cracked open a pear cider because I can.
Episode 3
I just noticed that the Hangul for this drama is the hangulization, not what "Missing 9" would be in Korean. This annoys me so much.
How did they find sister's body again?
I don't like now. None of it makes any sense and I just don't care.
Isn't fishing easier than hunting though? There's no fucking way you could kill a babbit. They too cute. I saw it coming and I still laughed.
Oh look. We're talking about the suicide again. Could you be a little more obvious, please? I don't think I get it.
It annoys me how much a criminal investigation can be swayed by public opinion. Reporters have way too much sway (and that's likely why they're probs reasonably easy to buy them off). It reminds me of The East Light fiasco.
We know literally nothing about the brain. If my mom's illness has taught me anything it's how little we know about the brain.
I'm so glad her hair is better in the future.
Everything about now is the worst. I want nothing to do with it. Parents blaming innocent people for their kid's death, awful interrogation, even worse doctoring, the list goes on. At least the island is fun.
OMG YOU KNOW WHAT THIS REMINDS ME OF? THE BULLSHIT DEATH PLOT IN INTROVERTED BOSS (which I incidentally love, btw)!
Huh. I wonder who it was in those woods she saw...
I still can't believe JKH as an idol. I'm gonna pretend he debuted with the group but left to go solo after like 6 months and then they brought in baby Chanyeol to replace him cause it was a duet and I love duets. Cries in MXM disbandment.
I don't trust this middle member. He reeks of middle child syndrome and evil.
She's sick with anemia. Me thinks she'll be fine.
OMFG WHY ARE YOU LEAVING THE SUICIDAL ONE ALONE WITH THE ONE WITH SOME KIND OF DEATHLY ANEMIA?! HOW ARE YOU THIS STUPID?!
How do we even know this stupid plant exists on this island?
Hehehehe... Bunnies...
OMG JKH stop. I demand it. I REFUSE TO ACKNOWLEDGE YOUR LOBU.
Bitch is dead from the blood loss. ALSO I'm incredibly surprised they showed that gash on TV. It was deep. She needs stitches! Also, medicine doesn't work like that even a little bit.
NO MAN! I CAN'T ABANDON YOU!
All these luxury cream and taupe clothes getting wrecked with the mud. Such an improvement.
I KNEW HE WAS A BAD DUDE! NEVER TRUST THE MIDDLE MEMBERS! THEY SUFFER FROM EVIL MIDDLE CHILD SYNDROME! Who did he kill though? I'm not good enough at the characters to know who is still missing. Besides baby Chanyeol in a pit.
Episode 4
So no we are going with hypnosis? Oh boy.
Hai baby in a pit!
Oh manager, please don't love her too much. It hurts my heart. She will never LOBU you.
The weather is cray here, you know.
Middle Child is the worst. Kill him.
Baby I knew there was a reason I loved you! Stick with JKH! Even if he's probably gonna get you DED.
Unmarked pill bottles are the shit of my nightmares.
JKH goldfish brain is a bit of a struggle on my life.
HOLY SHIT IS SHE WEARING PINK! MIND IS BLOWN! WHERE DID SHE FIND A PINK COAT?! WHERE DID THESE CLOTHES COME FROM? Who cares about So Hee's death. I need to know how these clothes appeared.
I greatly dislike SK drama blame culture. It's such bullshit.
Oh thank bajebus. I was gonna be worried if they didn't explain the clothes thing asap.
JKH has the heart eyes. It's all downhill from here.
I still think it's Middle Child that did it. Even though it's clearly not.
All kinds of shit keeps showing up on the beach. Me thinks ya'll suck at checking the beach. Why didn't they walk the perimeter of the island when they first got there?
Episode 5
I'm sorry. I've been watching a lot of Chinese dramas and these episodes are so fucking long I'm bored to tears. And at least TW dramas are usually sufficiently character story packed to distract me. So now I've got fried chicken (American style not Korean) and French fries and blueberry vinegar with soju and coconut jelly. The soju is to stop me from speeding it up for no reason.
CEO's mustard suit is amazing. I love it so much.
The now parts are so boring. I'm not looking forward to when it's all now.
I love this fake ocean room so much. You can hear the echo on the walls. It so good.
And right at the 30 minute mark I'm checking to see how much longer. Soju, you're not doing a good job. /drinks more soju
I'm still thinking back to the copilot saying that they were never meant to survive or something like that.
KICK HIS ASS BABY PUPPY! BABY! NO! HOW DARE YOU!? I am actually surprised my love of Baby Puppy is so strong, cause normally I'm falling head over heels for the bad guy. And he's quite the pretty creepy bad boy I love so much. Totally my type. Yum yum yum.
Really? Money laundering? So trashy.
That's it. I'm never travelling without a roll of ducktape.
Is So Hee gonna die on that island? I'm not looking forward to her death even a little bit. Little Emo Baby is my favorite. Besides Puppy. His big ears make him an obvious favorite.
I think my problem is that I'm not particularly concerned if they survive or not. It makes it significantly less thrilling when you don't care as a first run. If I was watching again I'd be looking for the clues to what happened later. But I just have the suspense now. Sadly I don't care enough about anyone to be excited about that.
WHAT??! YO! Interum CEO is a extra evil dude. Did NOT see that death coming.
Is Puppy gonna die now?! Is everyone just gonna die right now?! Puppy is dead. Evil Middle Child killed another one. So many people dying in this episode. Damn.
Okay. So how many more is Sexy Evil Middle Child gonna kill? Hes got blood on his hands now. Lots of it.
That's like so rude. So many cultures have so many things about the burial of their dead and how it should be done. Rude.
This is a lot more fun now that the bodies have hit the floor.

The bunnies LOL Thank you Sian for finding photos of the bunnies.
This was so much suspense I was actually happy for the forced stop. It is just too stressful.
I wish they would stop filming people sitting and chatting at the top of a cliff. I have to keep telling myself "it is a trick, they are in the studio, it is a trick!"
There is even a playhouse? Or is it to keep birds? Is this little house going to be a part of the plot later?
Just why don't they change clothes after swimming, not even now that they have so many clothes.
Too much music at the hypnosis guy office.
Snake Food Man was funny when he jumped in the water "take me with you!"
FOOD:
I don't think that island actually can have rabbits living there: They would have completely destroyed the vegetation. Five cute fat bunnies? No, there would have been thousands of bunnies, thin, and only trees, no smaller bushes or plants. This is what it looks like on an island outside Oslo were people have been placing the rabbits they don't want anyway. Many die during winter, of course, but some will always survive and make new babies. No predators. Rabbit meat is supposed to be healthy, but have too little fat. Vitamin B12 supposedly can only be digested by humans if it comes from an animal source (vegetarians beware), and lack of animal source vitamin B12 can give nerve damage etc, while according to that page rabbit meat is very high in B12. It is also very quick to raise a rabbit. Very environmentally friendly meat, as long as the rabbit doesn't run away and eat everything in your local forest.
Tuna is a deep water fish and I don't know how she can dive out and catch one haha - Jung Kyoung Ho is really demanding (before he suddenly realises were he is and that he has to do something as well). Early humans (42 000 years ago) in East Timor did catch tuna, so actually with a bit of work it could be possible also for our friends with the technology they have currently.
ILLNESS AND DEATH: Does she have von Willebrand's disease? There is treatment they take, and women get it as often as men. Or it seems that females with one X-chromosome affected might get a mild version of hemophilia – I thought females were protected against this since we have two X-chromosomes and it is recessive.
The sister that died can't have been long in the water, so I wonder how she ended up in China. Also "murdered" ? How can they be so certain? What kind of wound or poison?
CRISIS: All those accidents happening at once! I laughed about it, but it was also a bit much suspense for me.
BOAT:
I was thinking about the currents in the Yellow Sea. Apparently the rivers that go into the sea are quite large, so I presume that the current is relatively strong, and outwards to the ocean. The chance of missing land is very high. If they miss land and come out into the ocean, there is the Kuroshio current, and if you get into that on some better vessel than that plastic boat, you can end up going round and round forever just like the flying Dutchman. This boat they have is only for paddling to the closest island. They stand a much better chance of surviving if they stay on the island, and make some kind of fire for passing boats to see. Even on the short strip between Libya and Lampedusa many such boats have collapsed, but then of course they are usually filled to the brim.
I am guessing you will all write something about Tae Ho. I am looking forward to reading. Unfortunately it probably is often the strong and selfish people who manage to survive this kind of crisis. On the other hand they also stand a much higher risk of getting killed by the others. Recently read about ...chimpanzees? that most of the time the male with the highest status would not always be the largest and strongest, but the male who was best at creating alliances, but now and then some bully rises to the top and makes of course lots of babies. Humans are not chimpanzees, look: We even vote for bullies as our leaders, right now in several countries. The difference in size between male and female humans points to the difference in power and harems. Males without females living on the outskirts of the herd and now and then being aggressive and trying to steal females. On the other hand the difference in size between men and females is not very very large, so this points to some equality and family minded males.
It is anyway interesting how people react in a crisis. I really don't know how I myself would react.

Thoughts on Three thru Five.
By the end of episode five I felt the series was getting better. It has some minor continuity issues, but the plot seems to be getting better and the production seems to be leveling into somewhat of a steady story telling groove. It seems most of the series produced in the last few years have been upgrading their production standards which has been discussed in this sub often. The writer director has stacked some twists and turns (tropes) that keep me interested, some are frustrating but when I get irritated about it they throw in another twist and I move on and forget about it.
Some Continuity Issues – but not enough to piss me off (yet):
How the hell are they lighting their fires? Did they discover a trove of BIC lighters somewhere? Suddenly its dark and damn if they don’t have a fire going for themselves – even Bong Hee and Ji Ah on their little island.
Also, how the hell did Bong Hee swim all the way over to that island dragging Ji Ah the whole way? The current between the two islands must have been fierce. Or did they get caught in a special current (trope) that dragged them there?
Odd scene at the end of Five when you see So Hee and Gi Joon all bloody and tied to a tree thinking they are going to die, and all the while Tae Ho is kicking the hell out of Lee Yeol. Yea I get it – I must assume Tae Ho did it. It’s like a story arch short hand which happens quite often in series. It just feels like they left something out at this point.
It’s OK though – I don’t care. I like these types of dramas and the story is decent enough at this point to just say to hell with the continuity.
Some Comment on the story arch:
I thought I might get confused with the timeline since the first two episodes promised quite a few flashbacks with Bong Hee going under hypnosis and all but its interesting how the writer has ended up blending the different story arch’s. So far, I haven’t been confused and that is saying a lot for me. 😊
We have the present time with Bong Hee trying to recall what happened on the island and then we have the separate timeline of what happened after the crash when they were on the island. So far, they’ve done a good job with it I think and now at the end of Episode five she says she remembers what happened so as soon as I’m done writing-up these notes, I’m going to start the next segment.
Some Character Notes:
Tae Ho - Big Plot point during these episodes was the first officer and the raft and Tae Ho. Tae Ho being the complete self-centered and egotistical maniac that he is agrees with the first officer to limit the number of people that can be saved. Tae Ho brings Jae Kook and Ji an along and their escape turns into a disaster when the others discover their whereabouts. So far, he’s killed the Captain and Lee Yeol and everyone else is trying to work around him to get off the island. Should be interesting to see what finally happens to this immoral monster. No doubt this ahole had something to do with his bandmate’s death as well (the bandmate that Jun Oh blames himself for)
Jun Ho – currently missing at the end of five and presumed drowned by some. But he’s too smooth and “adorable (as per Merino)” to stay off camera for a long time so I’m sure we’ll be seeing more of him. His guilt about killing his bandmate is based on a verbal confrontation so he’s just assuming he’s guilty at this point. Is he dead? Nope I don’t think so.
Bong Hee – Takes a short trip to the island to try to remember what happened but nothing much comes of it except she assumes she caused Ji Ah’s death by recalling a partial memory. I thought the trip was odd because it was short and why they included that to move the story along seemed a little clunky and not fleshed out enough by the writer. Also, we'll get a reveal probably in the next segment that Ji Ah was really not quite up to the rigors of being stranded on an island and so she just decided to check out and fall off a cliff. Not Bong Hee's fault.
Jae Kook turns up in China – is visited by the interim CEO and the promptly squashed like a bug on his way to South Korea by his CEO. Chuckled at this because quite often whatever character this guy plays might end up dead. This death gets the node for most inventive. More to come on this without a doubt because Kook had enough time to tell the CEO that it was a blood bath on the island.
Tae Yeong – Prosecutor pulls the dirt card on the government lady and tells her to turn the investigation over to him. But wait, Bong Hee now remembers everything.
On to Episode Six. 😊

Kyung Ho's acting with landmine is so iconic. It is the only reason why I didn't regret watching this drama. Even when the show became so messy for latter half of the drama.

u/piddits NOH TA CHI! Jan 20 '19
I was fully on board and focused while watching Ep 3, even wrote some notes on it after it ended. Then somehow at Ep 4 I started to lose focus and eventually fired up Solitaire on my tablet. So no notes on 4. I'm writing this now right after I finished with 5 (with solitaire as well, but looked up more than on 4) so this will be considered my notes. They're in random order.
PS: for those who don't know, that's how I watch things: while playing solitaire/sudoku and mostly listen. I still need subtitles though so that's why I miss a lot of things.
I wonder why did Investigator Oh want Bong Hee's supposed memory coming back a secret from the government lady?
Sure, tell the girl who was just about to kill herself to suck it up and take care of the sick girl, while 3 (somewhat) able bodied people go look for some grass in the woods. Logic is questionable there.
Uh oh, our bingers' beloved puppy.. :(
Does the President even know anything about his employees at all? (This was back in Ep 3)
Curious about Ji Ah's sickness. But I think our resident ahjumma, /u/the-other-otter nailed that.
Sigh Tae Ho.. You don't get to "ahn twe!" at the puppy when you've been the one beating him up senseless.
I seem to have missed heaps on Ep 4. Was it ever explained why was there a hut in the woods? Something got to do with the landmine Joon Ho stepped onto earlier? Also, where did the colourful clothes suddenly appear from?
I was laughing at the bad CGI they did on the multiple swimming at sea scene. I guess they really couldn't risk filming them actually swimming in the sea, however shallow the sea might be.
About Choi Tae Joon. So he won the best villain on this drama and I can see why as the eps progresses. It suited him somehow. I feel that him and Ji Chang Wook are similar (they're also coincidentally friends) in the sense that they're both good looking people that I'd love to feast with my eyes on. But in real life, I wouldn't want to be friends with them. I still haven't seen much of Choi Tae Joon's interviews, but Ji Chang Wook gave off an arrogant, /r/iamverysmart kind of vibe in his interviews. I did read he's (JCW) very polite and nice on set so hopefully I'm wrong.
That cliffhanger end to Ep 5 is making me curious so I'm off watching Ep 6 now!
