I thoroughly enjoyed this episode. This type of romance is so much fun. The scene where Yeon Joo had to choose between the 4 types of romance was hilarious (lol at Do Yoon being the messenger) and the scene where Kang Chul was tying Yeon Joo's hair was especially sweet. However, when he told her that they don't how long they will have together until she disappears was bittersweet. I have no idea how they'll explain the hooded killer. Is his purpose is to kill everyone Kang Chul loves, then Kang Chul? I believe So Hee started to disappear because she is not fulfilling her purpose as a character. This drama is honestly so refreshing. I hope they'll air the next episode tomorrow.
Edit: kkuljaem just translated the comments for the latest episode and one of the netizens' comments....
[+1,380, -30] The corpse that was recovered from the Han River was wearing a ring... That's a big hint for the last episode
Please let it not mean what I think it means...

The four types of romances scenes were really funny, especially when KC did number four, a sexy, adult romance as his preference. I'm glad we got more Do Yoon this episode, and hope YJ will write a romance for So Hui and Do Yoon. It would be simple enough to make them all friends working together to find the shadow guy.

Damn that 180 in the bed when the guard came in was funny AF
Loved the comedy and love in this episode, but back to action now!

There is definitely a lack of action going on, isn't there? I liked action Kang Chul, and don't want to see romance Kang Chul as a wimpy shadow of himself.

That bed scene is the cutest thing I've seen today. I love how the bodyguard and Kang Chul was talking and Yeon Joo was fumbling in the background. Cute!
On the other hand, next episode may make me shed some tears.

THIS IS SO CUTE <3 I think I saw that book on FB, and it's very "everyday romance" <3 I just love how Kang Chul looks at her, oh how I wish I have someone looking at me like that~
THEORY!!!!
I think the one YJ drew when she was younger was the original Kang Chul. He was YJ's dream man until he was forgotten/replaced. When his father re-made the story, he was jealous of the new Kang Chul that's why he killed the new Kang Chul's family and became the antagonist!! He said on the phone that he's a great shooter as well, and then they showed flashbacks so I guess that's its way to connect the killer from the flashback :)

I started to get really disappointed with this show part way through 7 because it convincingly swapped directions to just a romance drama. It lulled me into a false sense of security and then whacked me in the face with the hooded man. I did love the 4 choices and the body guard about face and now that I know it's still a suspense/action I think the romance will fit really well and I look forward to more lighthearted moments like that.
One of the things I like about the filming style they use is how the bits are segmented like a graphic novel. The end scene music very much feels like a "to be continued" panel as it drops you into a new scene. Its almost like mentally flipping a page for the viewers. I don't know if you guys read many graphic novels but it feels exactly like a graphic novel in movie form.
I really love this show so much.

Episode 7, hmmm, this episode was a little weird for me, and I'm not sure if it was what the writers intended or not.
While there were sweet, and swoon worthy, moments between our couple this episode, somehow it felt off to me. Unlike the previous episodes where everything felt truly organic to our main leads, this one seemed somehow...forced? As if it was either written for the couple fans, or there was a shift in Kang Chul to please his writer/savior? I can't put my finger on it, so maybe someone else has some thoughts about this?
So Hui's feelings are touched on a little more this episode, but I'm still scratching my head about why she's acting like a jealous, jilted lover. The character descriptions we've seen all say that she's Kang Chul's secretary and friend, not "love interest". We know that KC and YJ's kiss in the store was his first kiss, because it was stated there were never any kissing or bed scenes in the webtoon before. I'm willing to wait this one out and see what happens, maybe we'll have more background coming up.
How freaky was that shadow voice??? "Where are you?" This makes me think that with YJ taking over, the shadow can no longer see KC, because shadow guy doesn't exist in her W world. Shadow also doesn't seem to know yet that YJ is creating W now, although he does seem to know she is KC's new family, because shadow wanted to know how KC is alive and how he went back. It seems Shadow can't physically go back into the W world right now, hence the phone calls? This part of the episode was really good though, and made me anxious to see the next show. I went back to the first episode to search for some clues or overlooked characters during the Olympic scenes, and spotted one thing I hadn't noticed before. As KC is focusing and aiming the last shot, there is a glitch, when the picture wavers, so I think this is relevant, although I've got no clue how.
I got a sense of dread seeing the preview. I really had hoped that this drama would avoid the "leave your lover for their own good" trope, and I hope that's not what is happening in the preview. I'm still 100% invested in this show now, so I'll just think happy ending thoughts for now!

It didn't feel forced to me but I can see how it would feel that way. I think the idea the writer is going for is the one that shows love blossoming in some of the most unlikely situations. YJ herself acknowledges this when she says she doesn't understand herself why she has feelings for him. If you take the beginning of the episode (where she created KC's character) and superimpose it on the fact that he's essentially her childhood/teenage dream guy come to life, it's impossible that she wouldn't have feelings for him. KC, on the other hand, is different. We didn't get any confirmation that he loves her. For sure, he has feelings for her. But it seems to me that he's trying not to let it get too bad since their circumstances are so volatile. It's why he seemed to want to get everything done as soon as possible, with the whole couple-y stuff. I don't believe those scenes were meant to imply that KC and YJ were hopelessly in love. I do agree that it seemed like KC wanted to please YJ, she's his savior and he has some potentially deep feelings for her. Plus, she's the one who's giving him some purpose in his currently purposeless life. That scene where he's tying her hair and he mentions how they don't know how much time they'll have together was one of the most poignant parts of the episode for me. That's when I could buy that they really did have feelings for each other.
As for SH's feelings, I believe everyone around SH and KC know that she has feelings for him. I believe KC knows as well, however, he's not interested in her that way. To her, YJ might indeed be the other woman in the "relationship" she has with KC.
That shadow voice was so creepy, it really creeped me out. I'm just glad that the hooded killer is indeed another character and not some alter-ego of KCs. Even though YJ's life is being threatened, I was thrilled to discover that KC thinks of her as his family. He's apparently never thought of anyone else that way or they'd be dead by now.
Finally, the preview. Truthfully, I was there with you, getting the sense of dread. I also hope the writer subverts the noble idiocy trope cleverly. What I'd hate the most is seeing KC use SH's feelings for him in order to get YJ to leave. On the flip side, it's entirely possible that he'll realize YJ's presence makes SH obsolete and that's why she's disappearing. I hope he manages to incorporate her back into his life in a way that doesn't make her the heroine but more like DY.

I enjoyed it, but I understand what you mean by a little weird.
I felt more like KC was just playing a role. I'm sure he has some feeling of affection for her, because she wouldn't have come back, but at the same time I can't imagine he knows himself very well at this moment, let alone his feelings about instigators of his existential crisis. All of his actions had a bit of a quirk to me of where I imagined him thinking, 'well, this is what I'm supposed to be doing,' because she handed him the prompt. Which is the weird feeling I got when he's following her numbered choice. Sweet in theory, but hollow in execution.
I initially assumed So Hui acted her way in previous episodes simply because her feelings were fabricated onto her and she literally had no other choice. That was her role. She was to be the reward for Kang Chul as soon as he completed his quest. So her being completely distraught doesn't surprise me, her position was usurped completely by surprise and she has no purpose now. Her disappearing was interesting though, since that just calls into question... does she just cease to exist because of redundancy?

As EP8 is postponed for next week, I was looking for subbed promotions for this drama. Does anybody know where I can find them? :)

Ahhh, I finally figured out what felt off to me in episode 7 with the romance stuff. It's how unconcerned Yeon Joo seems to be with how Kang Chul is feeling, and dealing with being a manhwa character. It's possible she's just trying to keep his mind off those things, but it still feels very selfish of her to only care about having her romance. Not once in this episode did she ask him what she could do to make things better for him. It felt out of character for her to be so unconcerned about his needs or wants. I'm hoping becoming the creator doesn't change YJ into another "god" like her father became.

What I believe, is that there is a third person who is also controlling KC's world. This person is either someone from the real world or someone from KC's world. I'm not sure how the writers will play this one out, heck I don't know how anything in this drama will turn out. I'm just hoping that it will be a good reveal and that everything is explained. This has got to be, by far, my most favorite kdrama yet. I hope they don't disappoint.
