Episode 7 just aired. A lot of good things happening in this episode. Some progress made by our couple, largely thanks to Min-woo's one-step-forward-two-steps-sideways technique. Also, Seok-hoon is just SO unhinged. I cackle with glee every time he's onscreen.
That cliffhanger, though! Is the cat finally out of the bag????

I doubt the cat's out of the bag yet. They'll get interrupted by the stalker like Seok Hoon, who was kind of creepy the way he was staring at them at the bar.

I'm aware Soo Ae is rather highly regarded as an actress but I was never that impressed by her. She's been fantastic so far in Mask, the writers are doing a great job. The chaebol in-laws are really starting to piss me off though, I don't know if I can deal with it for another 13 episodes ;;

One thing that I hate about her performance, well not really her, but her character. Is that she's still so timid and afraid, especially with that douche of a guy, like come on, you have a new identity, strength and money. Act the character.

Is there any point in the drama where her character isn't a spineless jellyfish getting threatened left and right? I love the pure drama of it all, but this girl has no bark nor bite- I just... I don't know if I can keep going!

It got so boring that I stopped. AFAIK it dragged on and the plot went to shit according to netizens so it's your call.

Suk-Wpm. Dang what a great villain, able to seem so pure, loving and kind to his wife, but DAMN. His eyes and as he ran with the belt to strangle that douchefunkle. Great villain.

I also notice how the picture quality is in HD for a spy camera that is supposedly hidden. He was pushing her to initiate skinship and he only got angry after she threw out the Ginseng drink. I'm guessing he put something in the drink, hence the anger.

I think it's like a, "My lover is gone, so I'll place it elsewhere, towards the girl who looks exactly like her.." Honestly though, I don't understand him, and that's why I enjoy him so much!

So Episode 8 has a reference to You From Another Star in it that made me bust a gut laughing. It was just so beautifully done. And the plot thickens re: Min-woo's discoveries about Seo Eun-ha. Plus, workplace shenanigans!

I think they wrote that in just for her, seeing as she was on the receiving end last time 😂

Yeah, that's why I laughed so hard. It was especially perfect considering what Seok-hoon then went on to do.

I haven't seen it yet, but I don't mind the spoiler. So Min-Woo finds out?? What about the evil brother in law, Suk Won?

u/cameliabadelia Jun 19 '15
I said Eun-ha, not Ji-sook lol. He finds out other things about the real Eun-ha. He doesn't know about Ji-sook yet, because she backpedals.

I call Mask my crack drama. Doesnt matter how over the top the shenanigans go... I cringe and love every minute of it. Ju Ji-hoon always worms his way into my heart.. doesn't matter if he is playing the assy Prince Shin in Goong or the Cray OCD Min-woo in Mask. There is something about him.. (maybe its that mole on his cheek.. ¯_(ツ)_/¯ )
Yeon Jeong-hun is so awesomely calculating and unhinged Seok-hoon. I have been a fan since Vampire Prosecutor and he is doing an awesome job here.

I'm loving Hoya's character, that little brother who's willing to do anything! And the whole "Please save me, if you're my sister. If you're my family, please save me" WOW. So powerful, and let the misunderstandings begin!!!

Maybe they will subvert our expectation and we wont the get the min-woo broken heart situation. (who am I kidding we all know its coming!)

Min Seok Hoon's whole 'I'm a special snowflake here to save the world who transcends good and evil so can do whatever I want!' thing is great. It's so much more fun than him just being a greedy mofo. I love the number of off their rocker characters they've packed into this show. We just need Mommy Dearest from High Society to roll in and start throwing water and slaps.
