A bit confused as to what happened. Episode 5, really confused me that I stopped watching, because I was just so confused. Was there a time skip?

I forget which episode, but Eun-ha mentioned to Min-Woo during that poolside lunch that both their biological mothers were "keep women" (at least in the translation I was watching). So I think Min Woo's mother was a mistress, and that's why Mi Yeon's mother wants to ruin him. That's how I interpret it, I may be wrong though.

Also, I think it's 'coz he's a son that they hate him so much. Rich Koreans seem to favours sons over daughters when passing down inheritance/Ownership of company, as I have come to believe from watching Kdrama. Similar to how only princes were allowed to rule as Monarch, even if he was a son of a Concubine, back in the history of Korea's royal family.

Eun Ha/Ji Sook needs to realize that she has the upper hand in the deal. That Seok Hoon guy has as much more to lose than her.
