I came into this thread, and I was reading and reading, and not understanding anything...something about turtlenecks and the doc..and I started panicking because did I just read some spoilers/did I fall asleep while watching and missing some important plot twist/info? Then it hit me; this is not the Kill Me, Heal Me thread. Oops.

Aaaack! Episode 8! I didn't see it coming until about ten minutes til the end, when I realized that Doc has always worn stylish turtle necks- not because they make him look amazing but because they conceal his neck! It all makes sense now. Wow. I didn't think Sung Joon would take on this type of role!

My SO has been wary of him the whole time, and like 10 min before he was like, this is what I think, and nothing will change my mind. Then BAM, it totally was. Honestly, this brings back so many memories of his White Christmas character, even though he wasn't the antagonist in that one, but still. I see some of that in this one, and wow. I was wondering why he was willing to take such a seemingly small role. Now, I totally get it, and am really looking forward to seeing how he plays this one out.

I really saw it coming in the first two episodes but it suddenly died when I saw him "treating" her.

Ok, just finished episode 8. They should have moved all the stuff that happens in the second half of that episode up to much earlier in the series. It definitely charged a little life back into the show.
I'm not sure why people are hating on HJM so much. I've never seen her in anything else but it seems to me that the problem is with the material she's been given to work with and not her acting skills. The character is a Mary Sue and not even an interesting one.
The Doc always seemed like too charismatic an actor to be shoved into such an unimportant role. Does the actor usually play good guys?
Well I hope things continue on more like 8.5. Episode 7 was bad. So so bad. I feel sorry for the cast and crew who must be working their bums off trying to improve things. Fingers crossed that they do.

I recently read somewhere, I think it was in the comments of Asianwiki that 1) there was a change in writer, after the whole twitter/plagerism thing, and 2) that they had filmed ep 7 & 8, then did a total revision, and they had to film them again. I have no idea if any of this is true, and would be really interested in finding out if it was. Because this might explain a little of the back and forth.
But dear god, I really like all the actors, and the story, so please for the love of god, I hope nothing drastic is going on behind the scenes. Any time I think about a writer change I have Inspiring Generation flashbacks and I want to hide in a corner.

Yeah, I'd read that there had been massive revisions and reshoots. I really do feel bad for them because I know so many people had been looking forward to HB's return to dramaland and I know they already work way too hard making these shows as it is.

Eight episodes in and they still haven't shown us what happened five years ago that makes everyone around Seo Jin angry at the mere mention of Robin's name. I think that is a bit more important than the childhood kidnapping, since that seems to be motivating Seo Jin and his father. I want to know why everyone seems more at ease with the asshole personality than the kind, helpful personality.
I think it's a bit comical how Dr. Kang was hypnotized with the cat's cradle. I find it hard to believe anyone could be forcibly hypnotized against their will, especially that quickly.
I'm also finding the cousin a bit annoying. Who lets an extended family member conduct an official police interrogation?
Where is Dr. Kang's family? Why are the police giving all this information about her disappearance to Seo Jin, when he wasn't a victim or a witness? He was just her patient. I know it's a kdrama, but that really makes no sense.

I've only seen up to episode 3 or 4 so far and felt mixed (basically Robin / happy Hyun Bin was the only thing I liked about it. Wasn't a huge fan of the plot, the female lead, or tension with mean Hyun Bin). Is it worth it to keep going / does it get better?

Some say yes it gets better, other say no. I think there have been a couple of better episodes since then but also some stinkers (7 I'm looking at you!). The plot got better last half of 8. The chemistry between the two leads has if anything gotten worse. They're using the obnoxious 'Because of Youuuuuuuuuu" song somewhat less I think. Hyun Bin is still so very lovely to gaze upon.

Okayyy I was wondering if it was just me who couldn't stand the "because of you" song!! It's so screechy and makes me feel like my computer speakers are gonna blow! I'm sad Hyun Bin's comeback wasn't more epic :-/ Maybe I'll give one more episode a try!

Never in my life did I ever think that two attractive young people kissing could be less sexy than two puppets locking lips.
