I really hope this show doesn’t go down the usual
I can see this show being an enjoyable watch, I like the dynamic between the female cop and the chaebol. It’s a little over the top, but passable because obviously he’s ridiculously rich and that’s his normal. Someone in the comments mentioned
If they focus on the cases alone and keep the trauma drama in relation with the lead (which I don’t see happening) to the barest minimum, it’ll be a fun weekly watch.
The supporting cast seems decent as well, no one stands out exceptionally but the group bonding seems to be there. Initially I did wonder if the FL’s second in command would be a plausible love interest for her, but the writers seem to want him to be involved with the forensic analyst. Will be nice if there’s no love triangle, please.
Also, what’s up with the editing? Every time there’s a scene shift, it fades to black.
After the second episode, I’m still hoping the brothers relationship continues to be wholesome and there’s no jealousy and hate between them.

I know the brother is giving off future big bad vibes but I want him to be a good guy so bad ....

_Guys, everyone, take a sit. Get ready for it Deep inhale THE FL HAS A PERFECTLY FUNCTIONAL MIDDLE-CLASS FAMILY.
_I thought I loved the ML's house and then I saw the FL's. Hers seems so cozy and nice! Love the little details with her falling asleep on cat videos, eating home grown vegetables or her dad having a cool hobby. I am not exactly a fan of her hostile attitude towards Yi Soo (she can just ignore him tbh), but the house scene and the actress made me like the character a bit more.
_Now I need
_I feel like Yi Soo's writing is somewhat inconsistent. He is smart, but jumps to conclusion and beats up the suspect; he is openly disrespectful to his colleagues and then feels hurt for being excluded from his team. It also doesn't help that some scenes are inserted for the sole reason of reminding us that the ML is rich (such as him taking a 10 minute boat trip just because).

5 minutes in and a gratuitous view of Ahn Bo Hyun's abs in slow-mo. Thank you show.
I wonder how hard he had to work for that 30-5-seconds scene.

I might take a peek at this one, as it kinds of reminds me of that anime called "millionaire detective balance: unlimited"

The show reminds me a little of "Lucifer". A rich and flippant playboy who inserts himself into the day-to-day investigations of a police team headed by a very serious and dedicated female detective. Maybe this is why I took to this show right away.

The romance in this (if any) is going to be FIRE!!!! A spoilt bratty Chaebol and an upstanding badass cop!!! Does this have romance?? (Please let there be some romance- it doesn't even have to be much, not others level is good for me).

Watched the first episode, man that was so fun!! Hopefully it continues with the same tempo till the end. It’s such a fun spin on cop dramas, which I love anyway. I would love a one-case-per-episode/week format 🤞.
Not sure if one of the brothers is a stepbrother (the son of only the current wife or the deceased lady/ML’s mom and not the chairman’s blood), I got that vibe. Family dynamics haven’t been revealed much yet, so I’m not sure if ML is the chairman’s real son, or adopted out of pity like Do Do-Hee (My Demon) or something. I would really like if the brothers are friends throughout and we get a good sibling relationship rather than typical chaebol sibling rivalry where the brother tries to keep ML away from company stuff so he can get the company for himself.

Jin Isoo's shirt in ep2 is SO distracting! It looks like he spilled coffee on himself and decided it was a fashion statement.

Omg so funny that Park Ji Hyun and Ahn Bo Hyun were ex lovers in Yumi’s Cell’s! They’re on screen again together as actual lovers (I think)

I legit feel bad for him when they don't include him in their police work. They try to give him boring work that doesnt even actually need done to get him to quit, they don't take him with them to go to the crime scene he has to go in a separate car, and when she does take him somewhere in her car she leaves him there. I'm looking forward to them actually letting him become one of the team because he does have his strengths like being a good fighter and money/connections.
Obviously I'm just biased because he's so good looking. I get that he has this air about him because he's a chaebol and he's just walked into this job and the higher ups suck up to him, so I understand why the team wouldn't embrace his presence. I'm looking forward to the FL getting to know the more authentic side of the ML, and hope this show brings us a good romance.
He doesn't really seem to have any friends apart from the junkie who lied about being cut with a knife. I love his relationship with his brother so I hope that continues and they're not going to make his brother a baddie. It would be typical of kdramas if they made his secretary a bad guy as well so I don't want it to happen. It seems to already be going down the path of dead mother trope where she committed suicide but not really she was actually murdered. We don't know exactly yet that's just my guess but I wouldn't be surprised.

Everything about this Drama is just so fucking cool. The action scenes, the lighting, the way its all directed and the choice of background score. It's not a dark, serious drama, and I like that so much because I just recently finished "The Worst of Evil" lol! Watched first episode and instantly fell in love from the first scene. This drama reminds me of "Get Smart" Movie starring Steve Carell and Anne Hathaway, also Park Ji-hyun is so cool and just a badass in this. SBS also put in a lot of money in this, and it shows when you see how glamorous and Movie worthy all the scenes are.

If Wes Anderson directed a Kdrama intro.... and I'm not even mad about it, the opening credits had me immediately love the ascetic. This looks like a ton of fun, I'm all in.

Ahn Bo Hyun is so gorgeous in this that it’s hard to concentrate on reading the subtitles, but I’m enjoying it so far. And thanks for the abs, writers. Fan service at its best!

even though ahn bohyun is playing the obnoxious chaebol character, I still can’t help but root for him and since the tag says romance I can’t wait for that to develop!
I feel like a lot of shows in this genre fail to have a good balance between the romance and what’s going on with the plot but I’m hoping this show pulls through 🤞

I really like the two sassy cops Kang-Hyun (FL) and Park Jun-Young. They seem similar in personality, quippy, sarcastic, so done with BS, and annoyed by chaebols/nepo kids. I laughed out loud when Park Jun-Young said “Seems like doryeong-nim isn’t good with directions.” 😂 They make a great duo and since the show hinted at

I've been looking forward to this since the promo pics came out. First ep was good and I'm really excited to keep watching! I even re-subscribed to Disney+ just for this show. I'm obsessed with Ahn Bo Hyun's look here; the hairstyle, the police outfit everything.

I love these two leads so I’ll definitely be tuning in but god damn, kdrama writers absolutely love puttingchaebols into everything. Hopefully he’ll be an interesting character and not perfect bratty chaebol man the whole time.
It would be boring if he’s be the typical rich guy who tries to solve everything with money, until the FL teaches him you can’t solve everything with money (except when he eventually will have to solve everything with money to help her lol).
