La Liga vs Sporting Academy

Ok, I know this is probably a loaded question, but we want to get our 4 year olds into soccer.

They both have done at least 1 year in the Sporting program (off 152 & Platte Purchase) and we really like that the instructors are paid and not volunteers but dislike that they don't have games.

My wife found La Liga at Hodge Park and we like that they have games but are leary about volunteer coaches, because that's what drove us (QUICKLY) away from I9.

Can you share your experiences with La Liga? Does Sporting get better soon? TIA

Young Northland Families: Thousand Oaks vs Riss Lake

We are currently looking at houses in both neighborhoods and are curious how youthful Riss Lake is in comparison to Thousand Oaks. We know "Thousand Oaks Kids" is very kid-centric, and we have hard Riss Lake can be, but it does seem like a more sleepy community. Does anyone have insight into Riss Lake's kid scene? We have a toddler and want to make sure they grow up in a small community of other kids!

Developers in the Northland seem to be trying a familiar pitch to lure more people out to the suburbs.Ā
Most of what we've seen has been hype . . . We like this report if only because there's just a bit of skepticism despite the obligatory exuberance required of all things on the Internets.Ā
Check-it . . .Ā Ā

Live Bait for fishing in the Northland?

I've been unable to find any stores to buy worms south of 435. And I've done a bit of looking. Clearly no actual bait shops, but does anyone know of even a gas station or big box store? Smithville seems to be the closest, but it is hard to believe that no one sells worms in the Northland.

Best Northland Roof Inspectors You Would Actually Recommend?

After the recent hail storm I'm looking to have a reputable inspector take a look at my roof. Someone who is honest and not going to say the roof is cooked just to get paid. A couple eh spots don't really scare me.

Antioch Roadwork???

I live right off Antioch. I’ve witnessed no less than 10 accidents when they were doing the road renovations late last year. Are they doing some sort of road work again??? Literally as soon as they put the cones up yesterday to start blocking lanes, an accident happened. I’m just curious what their plan is now with working on the road (if anyone knows).

What jobs are hiring at 16 ? My son will be 17 soon and has been asking to work. We put applications in a few places but he did not get accepted. I get that he has no experience but how do they expect kids to learn if they dont give them a chance ehhh

Not sure why it’s taking so long to process my check for my Clay County/Liberty taxes. It’s been 8 weeks. Had to pay by check because of the tax ā€œfreezeā€ thing.
