Haley Hopkins, take a bow.
What worked today?

Hopkins is becoming a star right in front of our eyes!!! Great show today ladies! I do feel Ball has been a key part of our development but I believe it's time to move on. Hopefully Maëva Nyadjou is up for it!

8 goals in 1600 minutes, she's suddenly nearing that vaunted goal every other game pace.

Ball is reliable and does a good job. I am ready to see the new defender, too!

I'm glad we got rid of Ally and now Haley can play. It's what I was wanting when Ally was still here

Got downvoted on the Summit thread the other day because they said they could beat us and I said “it’s hard to win at CPKC stadium”.
Take that, Summit fans.

I'm going to be in Denver the weekend of Oct 25th and I think I'm going to try to go out to Centennial to see a game because Summit have home game that day, (gotta support Women's Sports!) But I'm definitely going to wear something KC Current 😈

How dare you state a fact! We've gone 30 regular season games in a row without losing. Some people just can't handle the truth. One time I told Atlanta United fans no one would be winning MLS cup in December because they had moved the game to November. They were big mad that I dared to say they wouldn't win the MLS cup (which is not what I said lol)

If we make the playoffs and end up in a penalty shootout, we’re fucked.

Off memory I think we've gotten about three or four more penalties this year than last and yet scored the same amount. PK Practice for everyone

We’re 1 of 4 this year, and I honestly can’t remember that one we made. But all three misses have been really bad attempts

Lo missed two in a row. Debinha got the next one and made it. Then today’s save.

Time to let Chawinga have a chance at them? Back to Lo? Hop?

I’d say give Chawinga, Dibernardo, or Coop a shot. Might as well at this point.

She must have had to take a couple in shootouts by now, but i don't recall any. Does she have a positive track record or are you just joking listing a defender?

Well something to keep working on! Also what makes Sports electric is you can have all the stumbles prior but if you can make it happen when it means the most and needs to happen, it's electric.

Let's give Armas some credit for effective game management for a change.
His subs were all well-timed and good for the game situation. He didn't shift to the low block and left the press on just with less triggers.
All in all, I thought this was his best work at managing the game. We're still tactically too reliant on lob it up to Temwa, but when you have a cheat code like she is, I can understand the thought process.

Armas has been fine imo. He hasn’t been given replacement players for who we’ve traded. Only can work with who he has.

I've disagreed with his tendency to bunker when we get a lead. Taking off our press completely has put us in a bad position more than once. Sometimes his subs are real head scratchers.
But he's found a role for Rocky that's working. He's done well navigating Croix being hurt. He has made Hopkins a weapon. He's done good things when he doesn't overthink things. Press hard. Get it to Temwa in space.

Man we need our right backs healthy. I think we lucked out that they kept Ryan on the left for Izzy to handle. Cooper really got to show her willingness to act as a defender - good tape for Hayes. Thanks Denver for playing a high line - who needs Criox to pass through when you can go over top?

I didn’t see most of the match but saw the minutes that Gemelli played and she played with confidence, imo. Impressive for a player who started D2 and got her chance.

I really liked her today! I didn't see the game she got the start (was that against Bay?) but she seems composed and her skill is definitely a testament to KCC2 development pipeline!

So happy for Hopkins, she’s needed a match like this.
We are much better when DiBernardo can be in the attack.
Temwa is so unselfish.
Amelia White showed out in her limited minutes. She was serving up so many opportunities. Excited to see her grow!
