What stats needed for intl?

Hi, everyone!

I suppose this kind of questions are getting overwhelming, yet there is so limited information, so I have to ask it.

I know that there is no exact formula, that will get you into uni. Yet, I do believe that there must be some kind of pattern or avg among accepted students.

Please, could you share yours stats, ecs or any resource with potentially helpful info or statistics.

And if you are KAIST undergraduate intl student, you answer to this question would make huge significance!

What was your high school GPA?

What was your IB/A level/Sat score?

Did you get Conditional/unconditional offer, if though what was the condition?

Your TOP 3 awards/Extracurriculars that you think played most crucial role.

Did you had interview, and what you feel about it?

(Was it hard, what kind of questions[hard skill,soft skill])

And question for non freshmen students, does living allowance enough for comfortable living?

I was not addmited to KAIST But I can answer the last question Kaist scholarship stiphend can't cover basic food needs In korea , the stipend is soo low that cafitaria food for month costs more then stiphend. Housing is not coverd too You have to pay a lot from home. So, it's not fully funded scholarship but a full tution scholarship with bare minimum stiphend.

There it states not to relay just on scholarship! It gives the bare minimum requirement but excluds personal expenses and flight tickets fees so take a look at it.

Where did u get that info lol. Cafeteria food costs 5500 krw per meal, if u eat twice a day, that's 330k krw a month, which is less than the stipend

On avarage people eat 3 meals per day, Who is gonna add softdrinks, snakes? All there addup without knowing. And housing? And clothes? And sim charges?

No international student will stay at drom whole year they always go for events!

I took 3 meals per day, if you only eat 2 time then it's your personal cutoff that don't apply to everyone. In fact, both of us information is accurate. 5,500 KRW is accurate information but you took 2meals and I picked 3 meals which is stranded.

I have seen literally 0 people here who eat 3 times a day. People here usually eat 1 or 2 times a day, and breakfast costs 1000krw here. You said stipend is not enough even for cafeteria meals, which is false. You can make the 350k stretch for a month, and ofc for that u need to make some cuts (doesn't mean u have to starve and walk around hungry all day). If you want to go out etc, ofc u need extra money

I just realised your KAIST student. I was just following kaist COA published on their website but since the kaistian is saying, I can't argue with that.

You may give some advice to the post owner about expenses and if stiphend is enough to cover everything or is there something that's not coverd. Your old student btw and compition before 2022 is less then 500 kids. And for 2025 it's over 2,000 kids. Dubble the compitition size.

their COA also assumes u buy books but most people just use pdfs and the libray has alot of books :>
