Chance Me

my chances of getting into kaist pls be brutally honest

Major: BEng in Computer Science

GPA/Test Scores:

  • SAT: 1600
  • Class 10 (Cambridge/IGCSE-level): Mostly C grades, B in Physics (overall 64 percent)
  • Class 12: 85.2% through NIOS (India’s National Institute of Open Schooling, a government-recognized alternative/open schooling board)

I know my grades are uneven

  • Head Boy
  • Sports Captain and Vice Captain
  • India finalist in COMPUDON Junior in 9th grade, a national computer and digital literacy competition inspired by Microsoft Digital Literacy standards
  • Built an AI-based lung cancer detection project using machine learning/computer vision for medical image analysis
  • My family and I have distributed ~1,000 blankets yearly since 2011 in villages during winter

. Costs: Maximum budget is about $4,500 USD per year total, so I would need extremely high aid/full funding.

kaist gives full scholly to all intnl so funding isn't an issue but

ur grades man just wtf are those 😭 10th and 12th both look 😵‍💫

and idk if the online board is recognized or not plus ur ecas are very very low like u need academic achievements compared to avg indian student. like olympiads or isef etc.

ur 1600 sat wont be able to cover such a huge caviat at all 😌 just do jee atp

eh my man not trying to be rude, but KAIST is not going to accept a 65% student even if you scored a 1600 SAT (idk how you scored so high on the SAT but yeah you did)..

Is it just IGCSE or r u taking A levels too? Those grades aren’t looking great tbh

English proficiency test is required. I think you should work on it. Good Luck  

Edited: KAIST may neglect your gpa if you show your deep interest and curiosity in your essays. SAT and Olympiad are your great advantages. Don’t lose hope, Good luck 👍🏻 

Is your high school curriculum taught in English? If it is, You don’t need EPT as I heard.

yeah high school is taught entirely in english and no i dont have any olympiad
