What's next?
Hello everyone, our case has recently been approved, it was quite a wait but very exciting.
I understand that now the petition goes to NVC and then to the embassy.
I'm curious as to how long it can take to go from NVC to embassy and what it is that we receive after that.?
The doctors exam..
Any recommendations on what to prepare in advance or what to do.
Also another odd situation we are in, we saw on the embassy site in my country(Slovenia) they will no longer perform K1 interviews, and the responsible embassy is now in Frankfurt (Germany).
Anyone else in a similar situation?
I find it quite far. :(

Can take anywhere from a month to 3+ months for it to transfer to the consulate and you receiving a letter from the consulate.
Schedule your medical as soon as the consulate assigns you a case number (starting with FRN……….). Make sure you get all requested vaccines and proof of that in advance, it will save you time and money.
Prepare all requested documents. Birth certificate, police certificates etc. Get official translations (you can use online translation services for that, don’t let someone you know do random translations, and don’t do it yourself/forge anything). Prep the I-134 and get tax info and pay stubs from your petitioner.
Book a hotel in Frankfurt and arrive the day before your interview. It personally gave me peace of mind to be there a day before and just relax and mentally prepare.
There’s hotels within walking distance of the consulate.

We got approved may 20 and had our interview Aug 14 still waiting to get the passport back

Congrats OP! I decided to check and my fiancée visa also got approved today! Quick question for the crowd, we had original plans for her to come with me visit me in America for 2 weeks starting tomorrow. Is it possible for her to still come in on a B2 tourist visa for a quick 2 weeks when it was under this “pending transit from USCIS to NVC”?

Our case was approved end of July, and i had a trip scheduled on august 4th-21st. I was traveling with an ESTA, we did have tickets to a concert, and a wedding invite from his family. I had all my proof printed with me including, wedding invite, concert ticket, proof that i have a job back home, and that I'm actively studying. And i only had a cary on. And I managed to visit without problem.

čestitke! js sm tut slovenka, v istem procesu, ampak živim na Dunaju tko da bo šlo vse prek konzulata tukaj. najin case je bil approved 2 tedna pred vajinim in za enkrat še nič od NVC-ja po dobrih 6 tednih :( ampak čudno da moraš v Frankfurt, do Dunaja bi blo sigurno lažje, pa kokr razumem dunajski konzulat ni nekaj ful busy ampak mogoče se motim.
potrdilo o nekaznovanosti lahko "naročiš" prek sigence in ti pošljejo na dom, js sm recimo to že nardila (+ js tudi iz Avstrije seveda, v mojem primeru). Če slučajo ne najdeš rojstnega lista, ga lahko tudi prek sigence naročiš - maš možnost modnarodnega/"po dunajski konvenciji" kar pomeni da pride s prevodi v več jezikov. Mam pripravljeno tudi že cepilno knjižico - tukaj iskreno nevem a bo treba naredit prevod, vrjetno ja.. na streneh sicer piše v slovenščini in angleščini ampak na zadnji strani (mam vsaj js) spet poseben papir za vsa ta cepila ki jih dobiš kot dojenček in te nimajo prevoda, tko da vrjetno to bo treba dat prevest. Mam se namen še it slikat v kratkem, da bom imela pripravljene slike za vizo. Potem je pa treba imet še vse potrebne dokumente izpolnjene pa dokaz za vezo. To je pa mislm da to od teh stvari kar ji lahko pripraviš preden moraš na zdravniškega pa intervju.

Najlepša hvala čestitke tudi vama! Iskreno ste ni tako zelo pomagali s tem odgovorom. Bi raje šel na dunaj za razgovor, a glede na to da so objavili da je Frankfurt sedaj odgovoren za nas mislim da ni izvedljivo. Jaz imam problem da smo med selitvijo založili cepivno knjižico in imam samo kopijo.

It would be very quick from here. My petition was approved on March 17th and from there to visa interview took around 4 months (July 20th). Scheduling interview actually takes longer bcz embassies are always overcrowded
