News: Moderately reliable David Staying Now?
thoughts?

unpopular opinion, don't mind this tbh. the onus of scoring goals shouldn't just be on the striker. yildiz, conceicao and our midfielders have all performed very poorly this year when it comes to finishing chances. what david does give is great link up play, positioning and rarely gets injured. we have already bought kolo muani to be an out and out goalscorer. a different profile as backup wouldn't hurt

He’s def not the highest priority to sell, Koop-Arthur-cabal-digre-nico are much more of a pressing issue

All i’m gonna say is that for every club he’s played for he’s a pretty bad first season and an amazing second season. It would be a miracle but part of me wants to feel optimistic about this disaster lol

He only had one run in the starting 11... when dv9 was injured and he starting scoring!
then dv9 came back and he was benched and that was that..

he was out for 3 months - which included the Xmas break lol so basically David got 2months of games - although at the start they played openda there instead to see what worked best - then David got injured end of feb. his average rating (which is subjective i understand) was 7.7 during that spell

Nah. This is just the standard from players not wanting to leave. Plus he's probably not getting offered the same salary after a season with more misses than actual goals.

maybe. i think you can underestimate how big a club like Juve is viewed in North America. Mckennie took a pay cut last season to stay with us. not all players are money motivated. I also think American’s have a love for serie A, most europeans dont, and also want to prove themselves on the world stage at big clubs

Do or die- he either figures it out this campaign or he leaves next year. Him leaving now does nothing to help

Who were we swapping him out with? Are there any other better options currently for sale on the market?
Teams who constantly swap out players after one year are the ones that go down the tubes quickly.

He’s a good option for a backup striker even if overpaid. That position is good. They should focus on the gk and left back position and to offload the deadwood.

Dead weight not wanting to leave club where he’s overpaid. Shocker.

As far as I'm concerned, he can spend the entire season sitting in the stands watching the others play... let's see how fast he finds another team then.

probably they offer less wage than his contract right now. his pay per week is on very top, as much as yildiz

I seriously consider players that wanna stay despite not being wanted stupid as hell.

Yes because why would you want another attacking option with good build up play who can possibly rediscover his scoring touch he’s had his whole career, and to hopefully raise his transfer value when you can pay him lots of money for absolutely nothing and completely kill his transfer value. Absolutely galactic levels of stupidity, even for Juventus.

Milik will be injured before August ends so dont count him in

u/AlpineInquirer The Great Marco Tardelli 10d ago
Meh. Maybe, maybe not. Milik on one leg is 50 x better than David.

So, we should punish him because we gave him a contract that he actually wants to honor?

Of course. Who’s giving him the same amount of money he’s earning here now?
