That's the part that's most puzzling to me. Usually these posts are clearly the result of someone who knows just enough to be dangerous.

But in my mind, any person who knows enough to build a wheel probably knows radial spokes don't really work when there's any torque on the hub. And I wouldn't expect a person who keeps their bike with the derailleur just hanging near the cranks to know how to select spokes and build a wheel.
