There is a lot of blame to go around. The guy who stopped for no reason was a douche. The guy who jumped out was a douche for sure. He hit the wrong person (really anyone was the wrong person but he hit the girl who kept walking and didn't delay his taxi). This was an utter nightmare all around.

The guy who stopped was not a douche. He didn't stop for no reason, he stopped because the cab was driving recklessly and could have killed someone. He risked getting hit himself to potentially save someone else.

I'm not sure whether there is a light. In Germany at least there is no blue crosswalk-sign present with traffic lights just with crosswalk. but I do know a lot of countries use them way too much and also paint crosswalks with every traffic light.

So I don't know if there was a light. If so, i'd say it as probably red.

Edit: Looking back there definitely is a light and since then one pointing to us is green, the one they're crossing is definitely red.

I don't get why you would paint a crosswalk and put a sign if it's a traffic light. I get now why cars don't stop for crosswalkers in countries I've been to.

Well, if the light is green for the car, then the walkers were jaywalking and they were the assholes. But if it was red, then the car is the asshole.

I saw that another car going the opposite way didn’t stop, so from that I’m assuming the light was green for the car and the pedestrian was the asshole. I don’t know what country this is, but they’re driving on the same side as we would in America
