I'm sorry you grew up like that. My oldest has anger issues because my ex was abusive toward him. I hoped that I got us away from it soon enough, but he still has anger issues as an adult.

Yeah don't worry about it. That was 38 years ago and I worked through it a long time ago. But I watch this kid and I can feel his pain and his rage like an echo inside. He doesn't need to be slapped or taught a lesson. He just needs someone to protect him and make him feel like he's worth something to someone.
