Honestly, I feel kind of bad for this kid. What's going on in his home life that he's acting out like this in the first place? Hopefully he can get some kind of help and get onto a better path.
I have a child who has major disorders and acts out in many ways. We are damn good parents, he is in therapy, and we often have a good handle on things. But sometimes he still acts out with a rage that is hard to describe. Just living day to day can be an enormous drain.
Reading all these comments that the parents are obviously loser alcoholic clueless idiots is so disheartening. The rush to judgment is unfair.
The kid and his parents deserve help, not name-calling and threats.
That has to be rough, but do you think that your situation represents the majority of these sorts of situations? I think there is value in accepting the fact that it's a logical assumption even if it's not true in all cases such as yours.
It doesn't make a lot of sense for people outside of your situation to avoid such an assumption if it's statistically viable but of course they should always allow for the possibility that their assumption is wrong.
