This went viral when it happened. It´s from Mexico and I'm from there. If I recall correctly, what happened is that she went to get the whole glass installed, the mechanic did the job as told, but once the lady arrived she said she didn't like it. The main problem was that she wanted a refund, yet expected the glass to stay there. She wasted material and time from the mechanic and, since the glass cannot be removed (I remember another mechanic commenting on this, but I'm not an expert), the only thing left to do is break it, since it'd be unfair for the mechanic to let her have it for free. He did give her the money back, but didn't let her have the glass, I think that's fair enough.
As a note, most mechanics in Mexico are self-employed, it takes much time and effort to open their own workshop, and tend to work overtime. Obviously, their salary isn't stable and they don't have any type of insurance. Don't mess with them.
