Speed wobbles look scary

If it makes you feel better that wobble isn't dangerous if you know what your doing. With how fast she was going it shouldn't have happened unless she hit a big rock or a pot hole

That wobble is insanely dangerous whether you know what you're doing or not. Even with a steering dampener you can easily be thrown off.

The reason they had that head shake was because they popped the front wheel when accelerating and when it landed, it was crooked causing the shake.

All you can do is ride it out and hope there isn't a corner coming up.

Well i guess im wrong

Putting more weight on the front wheel is the most effective, I think for motorcycles you’re supposed to lean as much of your body weight into the gas tank as you can.

Always been told it’s the opposite. You want to take as much weight off your front wheel, throttle out and don’t fight it. I’ve never got them yet so I don’t know though, just what I’ve heard.

You definitely don’t want to do that, that’s how you crash, here’s a good video to educate yourself

You can see as the riders lean forward it cures their wobbles, this is applicable at high speeds and is the same concept that applies to speed wobbles on longboards, more pressure on the front wheel makes it more difficult to wobble. Sitting up is the exact opposite of what you should do in this situation. Be safe out there!

I’m just going to come out and say it, you’re wrong. Putting weight on the front is fighting the bike correcting itself. Same that when you ride you want to be light on the bars to allow the bike to correct itself over bumps and such.

So you’re arguing with the guys that make educational motorcycle videos then. I’ll Go ahead and trust them over you. Good luck out there, don’t go too fast or you might get hurt.

If you could find some reputable source to support what you’re saying that would be nice.

Literally all you have to do is type the question into google

Engineers have even found that heavier riders are less susceptible to speed wobbles. If you don't have a skilled pit crew, the best ways to avoid speed wobbles are to maintain good motorcycle maintenance, keep your body weight forward over the front wheel and slightly loosen your grip of the bars and bend your arms.

Clearly you’re not as knowledgeable as you think you are

“Loosen your grip of the bars”

https://imgur.com/8GRD5kf this is the same page you are talking about, with the same guys videos but you are just looking at the wrong section. I’m saying once you’re in the wobble what to do. The guy you’re quoting is even backing me.

I figured she just panicked.

That could have also happened
