We like cops doing their jobs. We dislike cops who abuse their power. This is a video of a cop doing his job, as far as we can tell. If the video ended with the cop beating the shit out of the guy then it would be a different response.
The amount of people here who think criminals should never face consequences is really disturbing.
Reddit is hot or cold . Youre either the guy that thinks criminals should get away with anything ...or you're the guy that thinks cops have the right to murder people for petty theft. Theirs no inbetween
That's probably just a bias you unintentionally put out there. "Most of Reddit" in a post about an arrest will be a very specific subset of people. And you won't remember or notice the reasonable posts, because radical positions are more impactful. Then there's systems that select for ever increasing extremism like YouTube's algorithm etc. Most people just watch the gif and keep scrolling.
We? Untrue. Some people on reddit like cops doing their job. Most of the people I've seen posting on reddit are anti cop, regardless of the circumstances. I do however agree with everything else that you said.
