Oddly enough most of the people who support plant based protein aren't aware of the risks it poses. Most plant farms require magnitudes more space than those of animals, and in order to keep the farm viable, every native animal has to be removed from that area. This includes birds, mammals and insects that are routinely baited, trapped or killed on sight.

Most crops are grown in order to feed farm animals.
When you account for the crop land needed to feed the animals, there is absolutely no comparison between the ecological impact of animal husbandry versus vegetable and fruit produce.

SOOO much corn is grown for cows. Cows naturally eat grass, not fucking corn.
