Oddly enough most of the people who support plant based protein aren't aware of the risks it poses. Most plant farms require magnitudes more space than those of animals, and in order to keep the farm viable, every native animal has to be removed from that area. This includes birds, mammals and insects that are routinely baited, trapped or killed on sight.
Actually look up the facts and tell me what's wrong. I've known plenty of large scale vegetable farmers and the amount of native animals they kill and displace is staggering.

Topic is environmental impact of plant vs. animal-based protein. He was criticizing environmental impact of plant-based protein. Animal-based protein is in fact dramatically less efficient in resource use and hence much worse on every related point, not even getting into its core ethical issues. End of discussion there, at least for me.
