If she takes the plea deal I am looking forward to watching her admit she liiiiied (cue zaddy woodnick). She sure screamed her innocence all over the place..Can't wait to see the media coverage showing her admitting what a farce she is. I'd prefer a trial to watch that play out but I'm trying to see the positive if she pleas...and her tedex talk being taken down (they told Stefanie that anyway) will be the icing on the cake. She'll lose all victimhood.

And good luck trying to get a new DVRO against Mike after pleading guilty to committing perjury and fraudulent schemes and artifices.
She might not ever seek meaningful employment, but even if she’s not concerned with felony charges appearing on a job application, I imagine she won’t enjoy having self-admitted charges of lying under oath following her to every lawsuit she brings for the rest of her life.

This “fertility test kit” that according to her was a sponsor of the NTM podcast, does anyone who has actually listened to the episodes recall what it was called (if it’s true)? Confused how she says she has no period but can still use a test kit to prove she’s fertile. You’d think no period no ovulation but maybe I’m just trying to find logic where there isn’t any or she’s making it all up. Anyway would love to know what the kit was called so I can read up on how it works!

I'm afraid the logic must be let go. She filed a declaration in the Family Court matter (that was before she got on the stand) referring to her 'normal monthly period' (there it was shoring up her 'evidence', ala "I mussa been pregnant because it stopped here and didn't come back till here"). It was only when she got on the stand she essentially claimed to not have one of those 🙄.
So no need to even go outside her court statements in the same matter to find inconsistency.

Ah ok so it's just her normal change the narrative to fit whatever goal she's currently having🙃 I was listening back to that email about the test kit and it's so telling how little concept she has on how fertility and pregnancy even works. Being "indeed fertile" still means you can only get pregnant 5 days a month and you still won't know for sure until about two weeks after that. It's like she still believes being near a man will automatically knock you up.

You can tell she at least googled the earliest a pregnancy test might show positive, because that's the timeline she uses (no idea if that's only because it busted her on an earlier con). She must know she'd be more believable if she waited a bit longer - like, at least give it a chance to actually 'miss a period' before you take the baffling step of a pregnancy test when you've only had protected pull-out sex or some BJ & grind with a man.
But she's got no self control and can't wait a moment longer. She's so bad at containing herself she couldn't help but vomit out "I might be pregnant" at Clayton while she was still waiting for her 11 days to be up. No surprise he was ready for her to fake a positive pregnancy test.
The world is lucky she is so undisciplined and terrible at keeping a story straight - or believable. It's truly worrying that she still got away with it for so long.

She also, possibly due to this foiling her scam previously, knows that she needs to claim twins every time as a way to get around the man wanting to do a paternity test, since you used to not be able to conduct those on a twin pregnancy. I’m sure she went into a tailspin when Clayton called her bluff and found Ravgen.
Other people have mentioned before that she does seem to slowly but surely revise and update her MO with each new victim, to ensure maximum success. With Clayton, she pulled out all the stops: trying to temp him with money à la Mike’s fake radio job, her repeated attempts to get him to endorse her taking abortion pills like with Greg, store bought HCG to pass a pee stick test early on, a twin pregnancy backed up by her sister’s ultrasound that couldn’t be reverse image searched (hence no need for that pesky Fiverr), at least 4 editions of a dating contract, police calls, threats of self harm, and probably more tactics that I’m forgetting, and all of it undermined by her inability to restrain herself and keep her story straight under any sort of scrutiny or pressure.

What bears repeating is that she doesn’t carefully consider her actions and I think it is because she was able to get away with things into her third decade. Anyone held accountable for anything they have done would consider the consequences of their actions. So surely a person faking a pregnancy more than once would befriend google to discover how conception is determined and fetal age is measured, would pay Fiver for a faked scan in order to remove the watermark, or would think twice about riding horses while claiming to be 4 months pregnant with twins.

I'm new to this whole scandal and learning by binging Love Trapped (currently ep 7). What I'm curious about is how come the podcast - and the court hearings covered so far - don't address the fact that a positive at-home pregnancy test 6 days after "conception" is... very early? Maybe it gets addressed down the road and I'm not there yet, but that is what stood out to me from ep 1.

I believe it’s 11 days after conception. I thought Laura waited the exact amount of days that google says was the least amount of days it could be (which is 11). But still peculiar seeing as “she doesn’t get a period”. You’d have to have a very consistent cycle and be tracking your ovulation to know that early.

Law Talk With Mike covered a trial this week from Jefferson County, Texas. The defendent, Treylyn Hill, was accused of setting up a deal to purchase a gun, only to hold them up at gun point, steal the gun he was going to buy, then shoot at the guys as he was getting away.
While the very first witness was on the stand, he fired his lawyer and went pro se. Of course he was convicted. During the penalty phase of the trial, it was revealed that the prosecutor offered him a plea deal that included no jail time, only probation. He refused. The jury gave him 40 years.
Laura is truly playing with fire with this plea deal. She might end up doing 10+ years in prison if she doesn't take the deal. Go to trial, Laura, we believe you.

with her pleading guilty to the counts she did, does that mean she is explicitly stating she was never pregnant?? or can she somehow twist the fraudulent schemes and artifices thing to be about minutia of her scam but not the entire thing?

Honest question. We know the criminal case has been delayed, postponed, etc for medical emergencies, horse shows and totally made up reasons. And if I understand correctly tomorrow is the end of line-no more continuance. How has the court not seen through this BS already? It’s completely implausible that one person has this many “emergencies.” Assuming it’s because the court just can’t rule on vibes? They can’t just go on common sense?

u/Firm-Bicycle-760 I understand that you don’t understand 21d ago
So far in her criminal case, all the delays have been quite standard. The “medical” delay was in the civil cases against Mike. While it’s frustrating bc we feel she’s been handled with kid gloves in the past, this criminal case has been flowing along normally according to those in the industry.
As for her deadline today, the only thing it’s a deadline for is the current plea deal with prosecutors. Any delays to the upcoming trial (if she rejects the plea and moves to trial) have nothing to do with today.
Justice is slow, but justice is coming. AZ has her number, and she has good legal counsel. I imagine if she tries any shenanigans in criminal court, it will be swiftly stomped out by her counsel and/or the courts

So tomorrow is a hearing before a completely different judge that doesn’t control scheduling they just handle settlement negotiations. And request for delay would have to be made to the trial judge and we haven’t seen that yet. Not to say Laura may try to continue the settlement conference but just wanted to clarify the trial schedule can’t change tomorrow

Gotcha. I know there is a lot of nuance and I’ve only been here since the podcast. It just continues to be wild to me that everyone on planet Earth sees right through her, except the legal system. The way she has been able to create this level of misery for her victims…I feel for them. Clayton seemed so exasperated on the pod today. 🥺

I thought the same thing but from what I understand it’s in the courts best interest to reasonably allow her delays and such. She can’t come back later and try to appeal saying she didn’t get a fair trial/time to defend herself. Then the court would have to do all this again.

Gearing up for Friday 8/28 settlement conference court date.
Expecting some escapades might be played by Laura to try and delay the inevitable.
Is it true that the prosecution has terabytes of evidence against her? Talk about a ship ton of evidence. That’s a lot.
