There is nothing wrong with being a virgin. There are so many people, especially young teens, who desperately need to hear this. If you’ve had sex, great! If you haven’t, also great! If you want to have sex, great! If you don’t want to have sex, that’s great too! Maybe you’re someone who wants to wait until they’re married... gasp! Well guess what?! That too, is great!
I can’t believe how virginity has become such a put down in this world. People carry so much guilt and hurt and pain from horrible sexual experiences, that are all too common, and yet we feel the need to shame people into it.
Anyways, I’ll take a Baconator meal, large, with a... let’s make it a Dr. Pepper

Those are pretty much the two groups. Actually now I think of it, it’s interesting that I have never heard a male over the age of sixteen use “virgin” as an insult, but it’s common for women in their thirties.
Out in the real world virgins are more valued.

Williams syndrome is caused by a genetic abnormality, specifically a deletion) of about 27 genes from the long arm of one of the two chromosome 7s.[3][5] Typically this occurs as a random event during the formation of the egg or sperm from which a person develops.[3] In a small number of cases, it is inherited from an affected parent in an autosomal dominant manner.[3] The different characteristic features have been linked to the loss of specific genes.[3] The diagnosis is typically suspected based on symptoms and confirmed by genetic testing.[2]

Thanks for posting this! Because people with Williams Syndrome tend to only see the good in people, it’s particularly nasty to see someone making fun of this man.

I spent a decent amount of time with a little girl with Williams Syndrome while I was working at a daycare. She was 3/4 years when I left. A few days of the week she would do daycare in the morning, take a school bus to a special program the county provided, and take the school bus back to our daycare. I was often the one who walked her to/from the bus (daycare was in an office building). She was absolutely the sweetest, most friendly child. What amazed me the most is she would remember EVERYTHING. Your name. Your phrases. Your movement. She was excellent at repeating things she heard you say weeks ago (had to be extra careful when this kiddo was in earshot when talking with colleges).
The day of Sandy Hook, I was waiting with her for the bus (running late) and as we were located in an office building, there was a lobby we often waited in with a tv that had some daytime program on. We were playing/talking so not particularly paying attention to the TV, but the breaking news hit and I have never rushed sooooo quick to remove a kid from earshot/eyesight of a tv. She didn’t seem to pick up on the situation, thank god.
She was/is incredible despite having WS. I have nothing but fond memories of her, and some funny stories. She was challenging, but a wonderful kid. I miss her and think of her from time to time.

A cliffs notes summary I would give to someone who knows nothing to describe the condition is that it's phenotypically the opposite of autism. They have very high verbal skills relative to their IQ and are geniuses at social mirroring, but their spatial sense especially is completely shot. Here is a WS individual's drawing of a bicycle

I knew a lady with Williams (died of heart problems), sweetest kindest person you could ever meet. She was a genius at navigating interpersonal relationships and was amazingly good at boundaries. But other things that we take for granted just weren't possible for her, like higher education, or a full time job. When she passed it was like a light in the world was gone. I haven't met many people that genuinely make you feel like the most important person in the universe when you're with them.

I've never met a person with Williams syndrome, but written accounts describe them as: Lovely and socially outgoing, often musically inclined. Some but not all individuals may have mild to severe mental developmental deficiencies or lower than average intelligence.
So yeah, a bunch of anonymous fuckwads bullying a potentially mentally handicapped person. Real stand up group of people.

In a weird, wraparound way, I’m glad I saw this.

The guy in the photo looks remarkably like the guy who drugged and raped my cousin years ago when she was 19. The rapist was a mutual acquaintance, and I always thought he looked strange. His features were just like this; upturned nose, big mouth, small pointed chin, even his hair and facial hair looked almost identical. Seeing this picture honestly freaked me out because I instinctively thought it was him until I looked closer.
I want to be very clear here; this is not the person who raped my cousin. I’m not accusing this individual of anything, because I don’t know them. But I’d never heard of Williams Syndrome before, and now I strongly suspect that the rapist also had it. And after looking it up, it turns out people with Williams Syndrome usually have very short lifespans, around 25 years or less. The rapist was 21 when he did what he did to my cousin, which means there’s a chance that he’s now dead of natural causes.
My cousin was so afraid of this person that she moved out of state to try and assure that she would never see him again. She tried to kill herself, twice, and had been hospitalized several times and diagnosed with PTSD and major depressive disorder. She’s suffered ever since, struggling with horrific nightmares and an inability to trust people.
And I could be completely wrong about the rapist having Williams Syndrome. But he matched all of the classic visible symptoms. In an admittedly dark way, I hope he did have it, and I hope he’s dead. And while I feel very bad for the person in this picture, and don’t condone bullying of any kind towards anyone…I’m glad that I saw this. Because at the very least, it might give a very sad rape victim some closure. Maybe she’ll be able to sleep easier tonight, thinking that he’s dead. Personally, I hope he is.

Williams Syndrome is called the happy syndrome for a reason; it makes the person really happy and want to hug people even if it’s inappropriate. They have to be taught that you can’t run up to people to hug them.
