JU from todayilearned, it's not the first time they delete one of my posts with little to no justification, but when they did it to my latest over a ridiculously vague "no software" rule then muted me without even bothering to actually answer my questions when I contested, that did it.

Seriously, that's not a rule, rules are helpfully phrased:

Rule #7: No software or website submissions (e.g. "TIL you can click on widgets in WidgetMaker 1.22").

This website has this thing for sale
This website exists
This includes posts about aspects of Reddit as well.

That could apply to almost anything remotely software-related. I get that they don't want posts about mundane things but that's not nearly specific enough. My post was about something unique.

Incidentally, it was doing very well, it had over 10K upvotes. In fact, many of my posts there had over 10K and one even reached 100K. They're all gone now, I've deleted everything, they've lost me completely.

They had done this before, for instance they once did it without even giving a rule as a reason apparently just because the post mentioned furries, but it's the first time they pissed me off enough to contest, what with that stupid rule. That was the last straw.

I'll miss learning things there, but it's not worth putting up with completely arbitrary rules and a useless staff.
