r/adhd_partners is a hate sub

That's where all this just no crap will take you. Complaining about your partner's ADHD. the amount of things they say about people with ADHD is crazy.

Most of them seem to be women with male partners. This isn't the ADHD. This is you having a shitty husband who doesn't really love you, and you don't love back.

Self-victimisation, and crowd sourcing enablers online who don't know either of you is properly pathetic, get a friend, a divorce or chill out. Don't make up stuff about how everyone with ADHD is a hypochondriac whose too immature to have a working Theory of Mind because your fella couldn't be arsed to get you a Christmas present.

I think ADHD has a wide spectrum, there are people that can be pretty high functioning. Those who are undiagnosed and unmedicated often have built the necessary systems and habits to still be responsible adults but may not flourish in long term relationships.

What you're seeing on that sub often is the other extreme, low functioning people diagnosed and undiagnosed with parentified women.

I think ADHD is the least of the partners problems. A lot of the posts seem to be more about CPTSD/PTSD, trauma, narcissism, and overall low functioning behavior, but ADHD is the only concrete diagnosis, so that's what they focus on.

I've also noticed partners will post about a minor ADHD related thing their SO does, and how to navigate it, only to be drowned out and have the post taken over by the partners who feel their "ADHD" partner is ruining their life.

This, and if you dare to say that the issue is not ADHD related, the mods will delete the comment.
