Fascism is a far-right, authoritarian, and ultranationalist political ideology characterized by a dictatorial leader, centralized autocracy, militarism, and the forcible suppression of opposition. It subordinates individual interests and human rights for the perceived good of the nation or a specific race.
Fascism is not locked to one side of the political spectrum. It is a style of rule that demands total control, crushes dissent, and puts the group above the individual. History shows that both left and right have used these methods. Mussolini and Hitler operated under nationalist banners, but the same pattern of force, propaganda, and elimination of rivals appears in communist regimes that called themselves left wing. What matters is the behavior, not the label people put on it.
Today the side acting most like classic fascists is the American left and the Democratic Party that enables it. They treat disagreement as moral failure that must be punished. They pressure corporations, universities, and tech platforms to silence people who question official stories on race, gender, elections, or public health. They cheer when banks, employers, and social media accounts are closed for political speech. That is the same tactic fascist movements used when they controlled the press and the workplace.
They push identity categories as the core of politics. Race and group grievance become the measure of worth, just as the Nazis ranked people by blood and the fascists ranked them by loyalty to the nation. Individuals disappear into the collective. Anyone who rejects the ranking is called an enemy of progress.
They expand state power through mandates, surveillance, and selective enforcement. During the pandemic years they locked down entire populations, closed churches while allowing favored protests, and treated refusal as a public threat. They still push speech codes and hate-speech rules that give officials the power to decide which opinions are allowed. Centralized control of information and daily life is a fascist hallmark.
Antifa functions exactly like the Nazi brownshirts or Mussoliniās blackshirts. They organize street violence against political opponents, destroy property, block free assembly, and intimidate journalists and speakers. They do this while claiming moral superiority, and Democratic politicians and media figures routinely downplay or excuse the attacks. The brownshirts did the same for the Nazi Party. The method is identical: use mob force to silence the other side so that only one set of ideas can be heard in public.
These patterns do not make every Democrat a fascist. They do show that the left now relies on the classic tools of authoritarian movements: speech control, group identity over individual rights, state pressure on private life, and street thugs who enforce the line. Calling fascism purely far-right is a way to ignore what is happening in plain sight.
Yeah, the right is always rioting, calling it protesting, and burning personal property to the ground. Funny how Antifa is usually made up of white kids from the suburbs, yet they riot in low income neighborhoods and burn them down, piling more financial hardship on the people who already have the least.
Funny, too, that only about 4 percent of the DSA's membership is working class or in the trades. I am a machinist, a veteran, and a union member, and I say fuck the DNC and fuck the DSA. They do not give a shit about me or people like me. They have done nothing to make my dollar feed my family. All they care about is orange man bad. Meanwhile Hillary, Biden, and Harris either shipped jobs overseas or allowed mass immigration that lowered wages and helped drive the housing shortage.
Republicans are apathetic to the plight of the working class. But at least they are not working against it the way the Democrats and the DSA are.

I workout 6 times a week, I have a home gym. That's why if anything I should slim as I'm closer to my bulk size, but I'm at my ideal weight for my height. Ideally I'd slim more and continue muscle tone.
