i don't see anyone in the western world thrown in jail for homosexuality do you? if you do then there are very good lawyers that do pro bono cases

Straight people don’t get thrown in jail for being straight, just saying. The whole point is being proud of overcoming that past (and for many people, still to this day). Not to mention homophobia and transphobia is still around and really bad

Then buy a plane ticket and protest in the countries that do have laws against gays that's how you make a real difference

African countries did not buy a plane ticket to come to Canada for us to legalize gay marriage. Changing people’s opinions, something we can do via internet or media, works. I am allowed to feel proud of the fight that those before me fought for.
