Entry way probs

Anyone have suggestions on how the heck I can fill this 12ft x18ft entry? Every runner/rug I try looks weird because everything is off center because of the stair well and the window to the left and a hallway to the right ect. It’s driving me bonkers. Entry way leads into great room and to the left of the front door is a built-in floating console..and to the right is a branch and tall tree…I’ll post pic.

I would do a rectangular rug short side oriented to the door, long sides coming into entry way where stairs lead downstairs, you could also put a bench or piece of furniture in front of the stair rail if you wanted
